I like the smooth bezel DJII
ND Sub - nice but I guess I don't understand the cult following of this one relative to the SubC the rest, not for me...not much of a fluted or blinged out bezel guy |
Thanks
|
Cheers

The verdict:
- Nice update to the Sub. That will be a huge seller. - The 41mm Datejust looks rather good, I still think the hour sticks are a bit too big relative to the width of the hands. - The Sky-Dweller... What is that? Breitling meets Rolex? Way too busy dial, mainly because the choice of Roman or Arabic numerals, perhaps sticks would have worked better? - Blue dial Yacht Master looks decent, not my favorite model. - The rest I couldn't care less about. |
This is the beginning of the end of Rolex ... That's the best they can do? I guess they decided to be a jewelry company... Thank god I got mine when I did...

What a refreshing thread.
Love to read and see all the new ones. Thanks for sharing. |
Wow. Thanks for the photos. It looks like a bunch of watches just got beat with the ugly stick. There's some nice in there but I'm just not a fan of the extreme bling with all the jewels. And the Sky-Dweller? Meh. Maybe it'll play better in person but it just looks too busy; even worse so than Omega's new AT GMT.

had a chance to digest a bit.....
* S-D.... - awesome movement - lackluster design (romans, especially, and cyclops over ring, especially especially) - HORRIBLE and ill-fitting name - name this a "DateJust Calendar" or something, and then come out next year with a ceramic-bezeled model with a couple of other sport touches and call THAT one a "sky-dweller" * new ND......what we expected, but, looks good. * DJII smooth.....liking the new silver dial and the black dial looks clean, sporty, classy. * new YM.....nice update. * blue YM......i dunno...something about the wide platinum bezel and dark blue dial throws me, but, this could be good in person. like the red touches. the blue dial seems to shimmer like the hulk's dial, and, well, if that's the case, i will like it. * bling......okay, i get it, there's a market for blingtastic rolexes....i just don't get putting colorful stones at the 6 and 9 markers of a date dial....really looks out of balance. * daytona......not at all my taste, but, the rainbox of colors is pretty interesting, in a way. |
Great post Anders. All together in one place.
Stickfied for the time being. |

don't know if it would still be a "YM", but, the blue center balances better with the black bezel over the platinum bezel (at least per the pix i've seen). |
Thank you for posting in one place. With that said, I think I'm going to be sick.
|
I see a yellow SkyDweller in my future.

That one in SS... |
wow!! i had no idea all this was out yet. love the sky-dweller
also love the DJII with smooth the others i could take or leave  just amazed at a whole new model that came out  |
really like the blue dial YM. did it get a maxi case upgade too or just a clasp upgrade?
|
A bit... underwhelming.
|
I was really hoping for a dome crystal on the ND Sub, it does look fantastic though.
The blue YM is just stunning. I am just happy they did not butcher the SS & TT Daytona with a ceramic bezel. Lets just say that rainbow bezel is not for everyone, but neither was the leopard crap. There will be a select few sold, so it shouldnt be a big deal. |
thanks for the photos, appreciate it!

but both would work for me http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...t-Mariner3.png |

agreed on the no-date.... not a YM, but, i think it would be great as a GMTIIc (date or no date)....just swap the bezel for GMTIIc, keep the red hand and text, and keep the brushed bracelet....= a winner! |

Any ideas on pricing of any of these? |

Save for the updated ND Submariner, I dislike the rest.

I am sorry but I am shocked at the haters on here. The SkyDweller not only looks amazing but the functions it has are so unique that I would think this forum would be going nuts to own one already.
Congrats to Rolex for creating another gem of a product! |
Very nice, thank you for placing this all in one place... Awesome post:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
|
Thanks Puffy
Great work enjoyed following all the action today. Love the Sub the addition of SEL & Clasp sound great the Ceramic looks cool  Is the dial a Maxi dial ? Thanks for efforts today  |
These 'blingy' jewelled and leopard watches, to me suggest that Rolex are assuming a fair proportion of it's market are wealthy 'Chavs' (UK term, meaning people with no class at all). Where are the ceramic Daytonas on bracelets or two tone etc??
|
great post, thanks
|
Hmmmm, nothing strikes my fancy.....that Sky Dweller is :thumbsdow
Like the Sub though! |
