The blue Yachtmaster is stunning. I sort of like the flat bezel on the Date Just II as well. Otherwise, not particularly enthused about any of the new watches.

Thanks for the pix Puffy!

Guys any idea if the sky dweller caliber 9001 has a ball bearing rotor like the 4130 or a pivot rotor like 3135?

DJJon 8 March 2012 07:10 AM

Many thanks for the rapid post. I am headed to an AD now and will see if they even have these catalog pages.

You are 'THE MAN' - Thank you !

never2late 8 March 2012 07:32 AM

I'm kinda' likin' the Skydweller. I couldn't stand it when I first saw it this morning, but now . . . I 'm not so sure.

Fresh_1 8 March 2012 07:47 AM

Thanks for thread, keeping in what seems to be an emotional day orderly for people who want to view the new releases.

Boothroyd 8 March 2012 07:49 AM

The ND Sub is the watch I have been waiting for. I know I am in the small minority who don't like the cyclops, don't need a date, and prefer brushed steel bands. Love the update!

gt0279a 8 March 2012 07:54 AM

Blue Yachtmaster is very nice.

I guess it was inevitable with the demise of the oyster cased submariners.

Rollie2011 8 March 2012 08:08 AM

Blue YM... really tempting

Maybe just a tiny bit moelodramatic

They still make lots of beautiful timepieces for us to lust after even without these updates/new releases

I like the SkyDweller, not that I could afford it unless it was SS :crying:

Thanks for the effort Anders in getting this up for us all

Andrés G 8 March 2012 10:36 AM

I like the blue dial YM and the new DJ II. Will pass on the rest.

GEO_79 8 March 2012 10:38 AM

Alcan 8 March 2012 10:45 AM

What a shame they screwed up the 14060 with the ceramic bezel and fat, ugly lug. :thumbsdow

I agree with everything you said. That blue ss yatchmaster is beautiful. The current bezel is too flashy on the DJ2. The smooth bezel it what I've been waiting for.

HL65 8 March 2012 11:06 AM

After carefully looking at all of the new releases the one that I like the most is the new Platinum DD with the emeralds/diamonds. It is elegant and classy yet not too blingy!

rfknauss 8 March 2012 11:32 AM

Did I not see a pic of a new white dial Submariner ...... am i crazy ..... or did I just image it?

fwh32720 8 March 2012 11:51 AM

Anyone know how much the sub will be?

I like the Chocolate Sky Dweller, the blue YM and the smooth bezel DJ II. Not so much the others.

Kind of disappointed with the Sky Dweller, but it could be an acquired taste. I'm not sure if it's a tool watch with the fluted bezel...it might look nicer with a smooth one. Definitely the arabic dial looks better than the romans.

gsxr750josh 8 March 2012 03:33 PM

Hard enough trying to dress casual while rocking a YG watch, gonna be fun seeing anyone other then movie stars trying to rock this new Daytona haha... Looks like some serious craftsmanship went into the design over all but i gotta give it a thumbs down.

Thanks Alex for showing us full size photos of some of the new releases :)
It is the first time that I have had a proper chance to take a look.
Having not really appreciated the YM before, I do like the new colour of the dial and believe that it makes a good combination.

Part of me likes the new Sky Dweller and how the month is portrayed, but to be a true annual calendar it should also show the day.
In hindsight I think that I shall be sticking with my Patek 5205G............and it is actually cheaper! LOL

Totally agree, Tony

I actually really like the Sky-Dweller. Would never go for a watch like that in gold, though. I like the non-date Sub, never having liked the old one.

The new Datejust II with smooth bezel and silver dial is fantastic! Why did it take so long to put the silver dial in that watch?

The changes to the YM are really impressive - it's no longer an ugly duckling. It looks like the end of the white gold Day-Date, which would be a shame.

Richj 8 March 2012 07:32 PM

Not really anything that excited me... The Sky Dweller is 'different' but not my bag. I wanted to see a ceramic GMT Pepsi, oh well... Makes my next Rolex addition easier though; SS Sub Date for me... Target date July (next planned trip back to the UK)!

I understand that it is super-cased with a new clasp and a solid platinum bezel.

Thank you for sharing

Anders, Thanx for starting this thread and showing us what is new.....I know the Sub ND was expected but I'm glad I bought an old school Sub ND back in 2009!!!
