Yes this is a good one too, but would have to have in my hands for the final word.

I understand that it is super-cased with a new clasp and a solid platinum bezel.

Thank you for sharing

A catalogue for drug dealers and pimps....

ersnyder 9 March 2012 03:16 AM

Call me a dealer or a pimp but I gotta say, I really like the Daytona with the rainbow bezel!

ersnyder 9 March 2012 03:17 AM

YG Daytona that is. Can hardly wait to see it in person!!

marshallr47 9 March 2012 04:52 AM

Well I'm heading to Basel tomorrow and I can't wait to see all the new models. Thank for sharing.

Panerai at SIHH 2012 beats Rolex at Baselworld 2012 so far its scary !!!!

Who is the chief designer at Rolex ????:thinking::thinking:

ND-C and smoothie DJII the best of a rather disappointing bunch.

Anyone have any idea when these will come out, or have they come out already ? Planning on buying my first Rolex soon !

nick c 9 March 2012 12:36 PM

thanks:thumbsup:

texex91 9 March 2012 12:52 PM

Thanks for the awesome update/photos. IMHO don't think much of the 'new' line, but I have been proven wrong before :-)

I am sorry but I am shocked at the haters on here. The SkyDweller not only looks amazing but the functions it has are so unique that I would think this forum would be going nuts to own one already.
Congrats to Rolex for creating another gem of a product!

x2

Sky Dweller....... what the??? Rainbow, now we are getting weird!!!

ratty 9 March 2012 07:31 PM

So what does the Ring Command actually do?

The more I see the Sky Dweller the more I like it but it will be interesting to see one in the metal and know what the price is.

I don't like the new Sub but then again I like the older versions with the smaller case.

josh6262 9 March 2012 11:14 PM

The trend right now is wealthy woman are wearing Daytonas. I can only believe that Rolex knows this and designed the Rainbow Daytona for that market sector. As well made as it is, I can't imagine it was made for the average man to wear.

Mystro 9 March 2012 11:43 PM

I have no clue who and what the direction Rolex is going. Yuck.. They can't even do a tasteful jeweled watch anymore. Honestly, my Serti Submariner looks like a Amish watch compared to these new offerings from Rolex. That Rolex "tool watch" image is slipping farther and farther away. If the Skydweller is the best they can do as a GMT, then Rolex is in trouble. That dial is a train wreck. I am not a hater, I a disappointed as hell. I long for the days when Rolex design use to move at the speed of snails. Apparently that was blessing instead of a curse.

Bigboss 9 March 2012 11:59 PM

And they..... MISSED!

Really not impressed.

kmac666 10 March 2012 02:39 AM

Like many multi-national companies, I'm sure the growth markets are places like Asia (China) and perhaps Brazil. So is Rolex introducing new models that will in part appeal to these growth markets and not really most of us on this site - US, EU.

Will the new bling Daytona, that I just think is ugly, work well in the identified growth markets? If so, good business by Rolex.

RollyloverLondon 10 March 2012 07:23 AM

Ceramic Sub looks great!

Gunslinger 10 March 2012 08:16 AM

I expected something to happen to the Sub ND, but I don't like how it turned out. The ceramic bezel, glidelock etc are all fine, but I don't like the maxi-case at all. The natural flow from the case to the bracelet is lost - looks like the bracelet is too small or the case is too boxy.

Burrost1 10 March 2012 09:44 AM

Hi, called up Mappin and Webb in Manchester and they confirmed the price for the Yellow Gold Sky Dweller was 30,700 GBP!!! The datejust 4100GBP and the sub nd 4930GBP these figures are a ball park I can't remember exact off the top of my head!.
The WG and RG versions would be alot more!! Seems a very pricey new edition!!!

jk8110 10 March 2012 04:01 PM

The blue YM looks the best

Highsam 10 March 2012 05:30 PM

The new sub case

Is anyone, besides those who visited Basel, able to tell the difference between the new sub and the pre-Basel sub's case? Is the case longer along the lugs?i am curious:)

That blue dial on the Yachtmaster is sweet

Jeffa32 11 March 2012 06:18 AM

New sub and smooth bezel DJII look great. YM is ok. Rest are shocking.
