This is fast becoming my favorite thread.
Big fan of the Explorer II, and I occasionally even like to dress them up a bit.
Many folks like to poo-poo sport models on Jubilee, but I think it it's a great way to switch it up from time to time.

Here's my family. IDK when or if I'll get a 42mm Polar. The size is a little too much for my bony wrists. I absolutely love the look, just not the size. But......

Hi beef, you've got the 42mm black dial though..I think the black dial wears bigger than the white dial...

You are probably right, Steve. It's worth trying out, because I do love that color combo.

Well Brich you could have bought new old stock pull the serial number and look it up. I know my 99 Explorer 2 doesn't have it.

I felt the opposite. After about six months of trying them on over and over, I went with the black. The white dial seemed to wear bigger to me.

Still adore mine, a definite 'keeper' & is there a more readable legible dial than the polars?

Will a nato be able to fit nicely for the explorer 216570?
I mean due to its dimension of 21mm from lug to lug.

I have several 21mm NATO that fit, and can even squeeze in a 22 with only minimal curling at the edges where the NATO meets the lugs.
