Rolex rotor question
Hi everyone!
A lot has been said about how the jeweled pivot perpetual rotor on the 31XX family of movements is its primary weakness. Moderately heavy shocks and not adhering to the service intervals strictly, can result in a damaged rotor axel that can be bad for the movement. My question is this - If the 31XX movements are prone to such problems, how come so many of these movements have proven their mettle in extreme situations without the need for much maintenance?
