Winding problem with my Tudor Chrono 79280

Hi all...

I seemd to have developed a problem with my tudor Big Block. (triplock)

When I wind the crown out to the second position - which should alter the datewheel - the date wheel is non responsive. Sometimes you can see it trying to move, but it never does.

What could be the problem and is there any easy fix

I'm not an expert on the innards but I think that's a relatively quick, easy fix. But, should be done by a professional.
Hope it's sorted quickly,

Thanks Dan -
I was thinking of calling in on him..... but It always helps strike a good conversation, if I can talk a little bit of techno lingo as to what the problem is...

It could be a combination of things from a damaged setting mechanism to a sticky slide pinion, gummed up wigwag for the date change. When was the last service? Does the stem engage in the setting position and move the hands? If it does the calendar wheel could have a damaged tooth does it do it all the time or only when the calendar is on a specific date? These are just some of the series of tests we use to diagnose a potential problem you have to narrow it down but the best way always is to just open the watch and take a look. Rik
