Rolex branded bezel removal tool

1 Attachment(s)
I saw a Rolex branded bezel remover on eBay today and thought it was pretty cool. I would love to have one of these, but just can't stomach anything near the $2500 price tag. It would be really cool for removing bezels from my sports models, however I could almost buy a whole watch for that price. I suppose I'll have to stick to my Burgeon knife for now.

Anyone else seen one of these?

I've seen pics of it before. But I'd bet I could do just as much damage with the correct tool as without.

It looks like any other swiss made bezel removal tool. other than the rolex branding on the base.

$2500 for that tool??? I'll stick with the butter knife. :chuckle:

I used a butter knife wrapped in electrical tape for a bit then broke down and Bergeon knife. The purpose built tool makes all the difference, but it was like $30 not $2500!

even a bergeon bezel removing tool would be one hell of a lot cheaper than that.

you can buy the same after-market tool without the rolex logo for about $150.00 on ebay, usually sold in hong kong..

I use one of these, saved myself $2490 and since it is nylon it won't scratch. :chuckle:

im gonna look like an idiot asking this; but are those used in stripping dashboard panels in cars?

ie. when installing a head unit, radar detector, etc.

Yes, they come in a fair few variants and are used for removing door cards, trim finishers etc.:agree:

Single-edge razor blade to get it started, then any knife to finish the job.

dont you all think the natural tool of choice should be the "oyster" (clam) shucking knife????

They are, but they work beautifully on watches too. Here's the set I have:
