Nice watch! I had the 216570 and loved it.
I am not watchmaker, but doesn’t the drop the instant the date changes kind of make sense? The movement is …. How can I say this… expending energy(?) ….to change the date. So for that brief moment for everything to kind of … hesitate… seems logical. If it hasn’t shown before in your tests it could just be because this watch is so new the mechanism isn’t… broken in yet(?). I am sure my terminology is off but you understand what I am saying.
