I'm sure they could have done it right there at your AD, if they are qualified to clean and service the movement, then they should have regulated it IMO. If they were gonna charge you for at, at least pick up a phone and make a call.
They should have done it on the house if it didn't come into the shop 7 seconds fast.
7 sec fast a day would drive me crazy.
