A new video was just posted by Hodinkee with Sylvain Berneron. It’s pretty good and worth a listen.

Mine will be delivered by the end of 2024. I'm in the 13-24 range - my wedding year. The watch is stunning and Sylvain is a great guy to boot.

You should probably email Sylvain, he is very responsive. Normally it is 50% wired up front when you order, 50% on delivery.

Another lovely video of the passionate watchmaker. He spoke about an order book until 2029 but he has frozen taking orders for now. Happy to see him doing well. Another interesting thing is 80% of the Mirage (case + movement) is in gold.

very cool watches, but at that price point there is a lot of good competition competing for your dollars. My hunch is collectors picking this up already have a good amount of high horology watches

Am sure Sylvian will be fine. I've attended ~200 luxury shows, yes the smaller independents have a lot at stake. Even just the costs to rent the space, take care of meals, etc... the costs can be quite... stressful.

On a cold and rather gloomy Swiss afternoon I met up with Sylvain Berneron in Neufchâtel. Definitely worth the trip as what was a lunch evolved to a talk about life, his journey and his ambitions. We’re also roughly the same age. To me watch collecting has evolved past just the materialistic pursuits but in finding emotion and joy in life. Definitely a moment to remember for a long time.
.
I am rooting for him to win the GPHG prize for time only - we shall see in 48 hours.
.
The Sienna 38mm Mirage is still my favorite although the Prussian blue 38mm is infinitely wearable. Incredibly thin and the design decisions and hidden gems are fun to see and experience.

Ugh, I cannot wait for mine (38mm Sienna). Hopefully, I will have my hands on it by EOY.

What size is your wrist Bearxj? Honestly, 38mm and 34mm look very nice on you.

Personally, I think the Mirage is a shoe-in for the Time Only and in my view he should win the Aiguille d'Or. But I am tremendously biased.

Wrist is 6.6 inches but very flat. They both wear ok but the 34mm does feel small to me.
