Such a train wreck of a design, must be by TS himself because nobody would hire someone to come up with this…

Someone mentioned that a fake watch vendor in China tried to sell him one of this a few years back. And I think if you search on Alibaba now with keyword "Nautilius", you may be able to find one. I recalled seeing one which looks like this a couple of months back when I was looking for UV charge light on Aliexpress.
The fake industry somehow inspired TH. |

I ignorantly hope that the Fortune digital ad and paper ad are AI generated and not real FrankenNaut? This is really the best the legendary Patek Philippe could come up with to follow up the Nautilus and Aquanaut? |

Considering that the Cubitus will be a model line, I’m baffled that Patek chose to highlight this particularly odd dial layout. I don’t hate the dial texture or the case shape. But because I detest this dial layout I recoil at the whole thing. |

To be honest, if watchmakers were never willing to venture outside of their comfort zones we wouldn't have gotten the Nautilus or Aquanaut to begin with I'll concede, which I imagine were quite revolutionary at time of release
That being said, this reinforces to me the wisdom of Rolex.. how much have the Submariner, GMT, Daytona, DayDate, DateJust, Oyster Perpetual etc changed over the what, last 50-60 years? And I don't think they are having a hard time moving those pieces Sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel... I'm having a hard time understanding why Patek made this product line other than as a money grab for those hungry to get "anything" Patek from an AD and reinforce the desirability of Aquanaut and Nautilus sport pieces. Will this truly be desirable by enthusiasts? |

This is god awful, it looks fake.
Now watch they’ll put like 5 in the market only and suddenly there will be FOMO. Also, I take back any posts I made when Code 11.59 was released. |

Great take - those expecting Patek of all watchmakers to step out of their comfort zone and drastically alter their existing design language were set up for disappointment from the start. Especially in times like today when sports models are still flying off the shelves why would they need to make such drastic changes to their existing designs? Today isn't the quartz crisis of the 70s when luxury watchmakers needed a hail Mary to stay relevant to consumers. I think these will sell well because to me the design bridges the gap between the dressier Calatrava and more sporty Nautilus/Aquanaut and offers something "different" to the consumer despite it's obvious design inspiration. |

The more I see it, the less I like it.
Not often that happens. Just so so lazy. There is absolutely nothing unique or even different about this watch. |

I’ll hold my final opinion for the official announcement and any explanations that follow. So far, there’s no taste worth paying $30,000 for as it’s a nautilus aquanaut mixer.
I usually don’t believe in giving criticism without saying how to do better, but we pay enormous premiums with the expectation patek has exquisite taste |

I hope this doesn't show the direction the brand will go with the children taking over the reigns

Remove 50% of the crown guard and it will look 100x better.
