Exactly this.
I visited Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland wearing a Citizen Promaster Altichron Eco Drive Super Titanium. Used every feature of that watch on the trip.

lol my backwards jump kick when I reach to give them what they want works every time. Picture me reach towards my wrist, right leg plants and I jump, 360 swing in the air and nail them with my left leg.

I’m visiting Rome/Southern Italy in September, but leaning away from Rolex. I’m likely bringing an Apple Watch and Scurfa Diver One. I don’t want the stress and hassle of having to worry about what’s on my wrist, my wife and I would rather just enjoy our vacation.

If I was a local and had extensive knowledge of the areas we are visiting, would be a different story.

They seemed to be terrible at their Job. I thought discretion was important in muggings

I know. I think they were just a distraction. There must have been a third accomplice behind me. When I suddenly stopped answering their questions, they realized I was onto them.

I must admit, this time around, I am a little more relaxed on my vacation.

I love wearing mine so much I designated my 116710 to be my work watch so I can always wear one. Many scratches later, and I love it more and more each day. Extremely hard to get over the first few scratches but god, this thing is a tank! Metal hitting it, metal and wood shavings flung at it. I love the look of all the scratches now. I'm very grateful for it.

have worn a YG DD for about 15 years - two people have commented on it - don't believe that there are lots of admirers out there that don't say anything - probably just about what type of people you come in contact with - if I was, say, a lawyer, wouldn't be surprised to get lots of comments

I think you answered you own question here, you didn’t wear it because you were paranoid (rightly or rightly not) on the previous vacation.

The enjoyment is in your experiences and memories you make, not in the material possessions such as the clothes or watches you were wearing at the time.

I’m not in the whole memories with watches crowd personally. I usually take my 116710LN away as it’s the watch I care about the least I think, I’ve worn this on most holidays and sold it this week. Couldn’t care less. Never have a looked at a photo of me wearing a watch or have I looked at any of my watches and had a feeling of nostalgia relating to an experience. I wear a g shock doing adventurous activities which I do alot of, I actually took it off and put it in my bag last time as it was irritating me.
