Where did you see this? I couldn’t find anything on Harrod’s website or Tudor’s IG.

Interesting piece. I'm not sure how I feel about the semi TT nature of the watch, but I'm not hating it.

All 175 copies went to those nice people in the Met Police who chose to look after the late owner of Harrods by ignoring the complaints of sexual harassment that were made against him.

In all honesty, I'm surprised that Tudor wanted to get involved with anything to do with Harrods at the moment.

The watch is quite nice though.

Tudor Harrods 175th Anniversary edition

I got one! Comes with a green NATO strap.

Seconds hand has “Harrods” written on it. Beautiful Harrods building on caseback. Jubilee-esque bracelet. Ordered a TT bracelet too.

Lovely green sunburst green dial. Black/gold/green work really well.

So here it is.

Wow I really like that. Wonder if Tudor will put a non-limited similar version out?

Excellent point. But I would consider buying this and adding a TT jubilee bracelet.

While not quite in the same league, I seem to remember Jimmy Savile's DD coming up for sale shortly after his death.

You have to really feel for the poor sod who stumped up for it given what subsequently came out.

In all honesty, I'm surprised that Tudor wanted to get involved with anything to do with Harrods at the moment.

The watch is quite nice though.

Some will say a post like this isn’t appropriate or germane to the topic of the watch..

However, I’m glad you posted it. I don’t think it needed a “j/k” emoji.

This news story didn’t get a lot of publicity in the states (most don’t have access to the BBC) and I think it’s important that a potential watch enthusiast have all the information available before purchasing a watch that commemorates the history Harrods.

I’m not casting aspersion on those that love the watch or intend to buy it. For the record, I think it’s lovely. I also like the green bezel edition.

There could be others though who may not get the same level of satisfaction once finding out that many upper level managers were allegedly complicit in the enabling and cover up of multiple sexual assaults of vulnerable, young Harrods employees. So I do think having the information out there is relative to this forum as it could very well affect the wearing and/or buying experience of this and the previous Tudor.

A friend of mine said yesterday, “The limited run of 175 could represent both the number of years and the number of rapes”.

Again, feel free to delete my post, but I think every watch enthusiast should be aware of the situation before committing resources to the watch. I am in no way saying that a purchaser of these watches condones the alleged actions and I understand that both Tudor and current management of Harrods repudiates and has no tolerance for sexual abuse of any kind.

I respect all opinions, but feel we all react differently and deserve to be in the know.

For those who’ve bought the watch, thank you so much for the pictures. It’s gorgeous and wear it in the best of health.

In the UK Harrods is mired up one side and down the other and the accusations keep rolling in. Where I live it's impossible to ignore the stink and this watch could not have been launched at a worst time for Harrod's image and standing. The current owners are blameless. The same may not necessarily be true of all the current employees.

It is appropriate to include this in any discussion involving Harrods and it will devalue the watch's image if not its monastery value. Of course, anyone buying one is not implicated in the scandal, which should go without saying, although my BB Harrods is staying in the safe because right now I wouldn't want to be associated in any way with the retailer. When the settlements are settled, apologies have been made, enablers have been called to account, and some kind of justice has been seen to be done I'll wear it again, probably.

Wow guys, it is just a watch and I’m sure that Tudor does not abdicate any type of sexual harassment from Harrods or any other company they co brand with.
The watch is not at fault and just because you buy one or wear one doesn’t mean that you support what has happened at Harrods.

We are all entitled to our own opinions.

These type of things are appalling and very inappropriate for any company to condone and those responsible should be punished accordingly. You can choose to Boycott Harrods and not do any business with them as support for those who have been victimized.

Im not familiar with what happened at Harrods because we are across the pond and don’t have access to the news in the UK. These type of things upset and disgust all of us and it does not matter where you live.

Why not give the watch to a charity that helps victims of sexual abuse? Better still do that and don't tell anyone about it, do it when no one is looking. I am sure that would help people more than a middle aged male keeping his Harrods watch in the safe till the dust settles!

There is a reason I am not on the mainstream social media platforms and posts like this are part of that reason.

For the record its a lovely watch, I would have bought one had I been lucky enough to be offered one. Also for the record, I hope all victims of sexual abuse, everywhere, and that includes someone in a council flat in Bristol whose case gets no exposure, get the justice they deserve.

I don't think that people who like nice things should be made to pay for the alleged misdeeds of other people. If I was on the waitlist for a Harrods special I would cancel but I wouldn't expect anybody else to do so. As for charitable donations, I have my good causes and I don't dilute my contributions according to the prevailing wind.

Also, for the record I am not middle aged.

Not shown neither on Harrod's nor Tudor website, no press communication, and yet they're been delivered?
Strange Tudor movement.

I feel like this was done more as a gesture for loyal Harrods customers and less so for mass marketing for Tudor. I see this more as a bespoke piece commissioned by Harrods similar to others that have been done by Tudor in the past by people like Keanu Reeves and Ed Sheeran for their movie and music crews.
