The 116508 green dial is a stunning piece, however it not worth $70K in my opinion or $150K during Covid at a reasonable price I would consider it.
The 116509 blue dial is also beautiful not as flashy. The meteorite is the dial in the 11 series is my favorite.

Buy, what you like and will enjoy.

The VC in the green dial is amazing.

Cheers,

Above $50K it is PP or VC territory for me. Under $50K I am on the forever waitlist on dark dial YG Daytona on OF. I am hopeful that I will get a call on that one day

Thx for all the input.

I think it really helped flesh out what I wanted.

Only one person suggested the Paul Newman but I think that's what I'm going with.

I talked to my guy and he said there were 200 Mayers for sale. Maybe 50 are duplicates. In his opinion, which I trust a lot, the green dial just isn't worth the extra 30K. He fears that the prices will continue to slide and that will leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I've always paid up for the "best" in real estate or other investments. Strangely, the higher price was part of the appeal. Gotta stop doing that when things aren't truly an investment.

The Newman sells around retail and should hold its value better ... plus, I really do like that watch.

The WG/blue dial is too close to the Panda and more difficult to read. (Eyesight isn't what it used to be.)

Thx again for all the input.

I love that reference. Wei Koh of Revolution wears as a daily and did a really great write up a while back in the magazine. https://revolutionwatch.com/the-role...th-green-dial/

The JM is worth the hype in my opinion. Stunning piece in person and should hold its value in the years to come.
