The Air King for sure, I really like the new one with the guards and the dial, the EXP I is nice also. I think they both have easy link no glidelock.

Folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link OP - they’re really similar, you can’t go wrong if you get the one that causes you to smile bigger. |

At this case size I do think the Airking is a better looking watch. I prefer the smaller explorer I 36mm size - just looks more well proportioned

I picked up the new Explorer 1 in 40 mm from my AD a couple of months ago. It is a really nice watch. My favorite thing about it is the simple and clean dial.

This is the best iteration of AK ever released imo but my vote still went to the Ex…

You're welcome. Easy to get this confused as the previous Air-King (116900) did *not* have the folding/locking safety clasp.
It was this enhancement, plus the crown guards, that really changed the "feel" of the watch to me, and compelled me to take another look at an often overlooked model. |

Personally I love the Air King but I think it’s best as part of a collection. The busy dial, which is my favorite feature, may leave you tired if it’s your one and only.
All that said, I also love the Explorer and own a 114270. I’m not sure about the new 40mm as I’ve never seen it but I’d have to say, if we’re talking a one and done watch situation, you really can’t beat the Explorer!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I only noticed the crown protectors of the Airking through this post!
they should have used these guards for the explorer 40mm tbh since its the adventure watch, i am surprised that Rolex are too lazy to do so |
