AD’s are telling me that they can get a steel Daytona faster than a Pepsi

What is going on? Are these artificial games by Rolex?

What I’m unable to reconcile: There are more 2024 Pepsis on C24 than all previous years and the year isn’t even done yet. While many of them would be repeat or ghost listings in true C24 fashion, this would also apply to previous years making the comparison like to like

Net: Hearing the above from ADs I trust, less Pepsi NWA incomings than previous years yet the numbers not supporting this supposed scarcity. I’m not sure how to reconcile the two

Next batch may be a Pepsi batch and the Daytona will be scarce. Looks like Rolex concentrating on churning out the new Daytona model. Pepsi will always be there, no discontinuation, no two women only doing the red/blue bezel, no breakage of red/blue bezel.

My dealer in Milwaukee who is a straight shooter told me the same thing. He said people have no idea how hard is it to get a Pepsi. Heard same from friends all over the country. I’m guessing there might be some truth to the manufacturing issues or Rolex is cutting production on purpose to make it the next Daytona. Who knows!

Same here. A few days ago I replied to a thread detailing what my AD has gotten over the past 19 - 21 months while still waiting for a single BLRO to come through.

This particular AD I have an exceptional relationship with and I completely trust them.

It's cause they use the bezel inserts on the white gold pieces rather than the steel. Ask your AD how hard it is to get a wg pepsi.... That's right.

People might think getting a Pepsi allocation is more realistic than landing a stainless steel Daytona, especially up until recently. Because of that, there are more GMT buyers and people asking for it compared to Daytona buyers. The Daytona has this vibe that makes a lot of people hesitate to even ask for it without a solid purchase history.

Seriously doubt it. Talk is cheap, take them up on it and see what happens. It’s just another GMT with a workhorse movement so hardly more rare than any other GMT. The production GMT numbers are split in half to each bracelet configuration so what might seem like less production is really not. History has shown people won’t even ask for Daytona anymore as it’s in another level of “not gonna happen”.

This new “rare GMT” narrative seems to be a way of moving the BLRO up to increase its AD bundling potential.

Quite true. I know a lot of friends who think that way. Sometimes it is also a result of the subtle signals that they sense from some ADs as well.

My AD said similar, both a VERY difficult, but Pepsi is harder as they just don't get as many.

It’s all relative. Everybody here knows it’s a mass produced watch. It’s not as rare as say a Lange or Vacheron. But could it be scarcer than the submariner, batman or others? Possibly yes.
