It's a worldwide release. Not surprising at all
The good thing is lange decided to release to first time customers as well
I heard number 1-30 are allocated to their vvips
The rest are up for grabs

The platinum onyx dial is a lovely watch but I always feel a little disappointed when brands replicate some of their more special models down the road. Sure, there is the stone dial but the look is very similar to 101.035 and it is an additional 300 pieces some 20 years later. Does this make the OG Darth a little less desirable / are they taking some air out of it this way? Also think 300 (+150 x2) is a large number for a limited Lange release. In any event, I think this is much better than VC putting out what IMO was an inferior remake of their 222 a few years ago.

My first Lange picked up yesterday. It was between this and the 192.029 (i think thats right reference the WG black dial with day/night moonphase). At the end of the day while that day/night moonphase is one of my favorite complications period i liked everything else about this version. The heft of the platinum especially.

Congratulations!! between the two I think this one looks sharper, plus can’t go wrong with platinum.

I’m glad to hear first time customers got a shot at it too. Very happy for those that got one.

Has anyone handled the new rose gold/ blue dial Lange 1? Would you be so kind to share some photos? I ordered one sight unseen but i cant find “hands on” anywhere with this config.

Congrats on your purchase in advance. I think you got a really nice watch coming to you soon. The only person that comes to mind that handled these watches would be James Stacey of Hodinkee he was at Audrain in Newport and Lange let him check these out in advance the article and pictures are on the Hodinkee website- you could perhaps try connecting with him via instagram. He is a really nice guy and very approachable.

Both are beautiful. If I could, I would probably choose the blue dial, pink gold version. That combination pulls the right chords with me.

Why can't Lange color match the date wheel with the dial on all of their Lange 1's...

Love the Darth!
Is there a difference between this Darth release and the previous Darth version?

Yes, new one has obviously the newer (current) movement but also a different dial. The new one is made of Onyx Stone dial.

Thank you. I should have specified besides the movement, but that is a notable difference. Visually I imagine the onyx can be appreciated much more in person than in the pics given the deep black beauty I’ve admired in other onyx dials which weren’t even Langes.

Would love to see the new onyx dial next to the original Darth for comparison if anyone could muster that up
