Moonwatch White Dial

I was at the Omega boutique in Vancouver today. I was offered the white dial Moonwatch. Is it that in demand? From the staff, it seems there is this faux scarcity. I’m not in the market for a watch at the moment, so I politely passed.

I have heard that they are tough to get in some areas, but that hasn’t been my experience. The last couple of times I have been to my local boutique, they have had at least one in the case and last week they had two. (One bracelet and one strap). Ni e watch, but it didn’t really grab me. They did tell me that if I changed my mind and decided that I wanted one, it was about a two week wait.

Others may have a different view, but that has been my experience.

In Tokyo it’s not “readily” available but you can get one fairly quickly if you express interest.

Same here. Didn’t speak to me. They will also become easily available to all, soon.

It's an Omega. And not a limited release. Not surprised they are beginning to come through.

My local AD has said they have still not received one. I purchased from a Boutique upon release and have enjoyed the watch. It is one of my favorites.

They are still tough to find at ADs. At boutiques they are becoming more plentiful.

...I went grey since the cost was basically what I would have paid with sales tax and gas/time to travel to a boutique 3+ hours away.

Do non-Omega Boutiques discount any of their inventory?

Faux scarcity, you mean like what Rolex do with some of their more desirable models, whatever next!

I am getting one at retail price. Not sure if I should bite the bullet or wait it out a bit and pick it up cheaper elsewhere a few months from now. The black dial I can get 25% off the retail price currently.

Went gray for an omega? And it wasn’t even a snoopy?

Well like I mentioned, it was basically a wash. Nearly the same cost I would have paid at a boutique without six hours of driving or a wait. This was brand new still stickered.

If anyone in the UK is looking for one, I noticed they are popping up intermittently on Selfridges website - I assume they get a few in every now and again and they can just be purchased online.

Right this minute, they have one on leather for example but not on bracelet. There was one available on bracelet earlier in the week.
