Could I? Yes.
Would I? Perhaps, but unlikely. Do I? No. Part of a 15 watch “rotation” and there are three or four of the fifteen that get the most use. Daytona isn’t one of them. |

Any of the models with the Oyster and PCLs will show wear with light scratches. Not a big deal to most people, but clearly such marks are not for some folks.

Wear a 24-year-old 116528 daily.
Every day's special. |

I wear them daily for many years
have the black and white, wear them daily, while cycling, while swimming open water, I don't paint the house with them :-)
As long as you're not close inspecting them. they look new. I also own a WG, non-ceramic, the bezel is scratched and the "shine" has gone. I wouldn't wear a new non ceramic gold Daytona as a daily. My 2c |

I wear my platinum Daytona almost daily. Why not it’s beautiful, rare and I love it.

Scratches on the polished center links on the oyster is par for the course.
Do people worry about the steel or precious metal bezels? They do seem like scratch magnets on the daytona. I have never owned one. |

I wouldn't worry about scratches on the oyster bracelet. They can be polished of course down the road... or a new bracelet can be purchased. Wear the watch.

Let's see: no date window, no second time zone, worthless bezel noone uses, cluttered dial. Nope, not a daily, nor in my collection.

No, but I do wear my Zenith Daytona as a travel watch. It's a tradition with me. It's pretty beat up compared to my other watches, but it's OK, it's in all my travel photos! The Daytona never changed, buy I did!

I don’t have to but I could very easily wear my Daytona as my one and only. It’s the most comfortable model which qualifies it as an ideal daily model. It’s an oyster so you never have to take it off even for water sports. It has a low profile so it will sit under any shirt or coat cuff. It has a flip lock clasp so it will always be secure for even the most robust activities.
Go for it.

I've been wearing my 116520 daily. It's my first Rolex and it does make me a little nervous but it's super comfortable and I'm getting more used to it on my wrist all the time every day. Love it.

100% you can as long as youre okay with PCL getting scratched. If you've got Daytona money though, I'd suggest at least having a Seiko diver at the minimum for a 'beater'/ watersports/etc.
