It makes a BL Astronomic look common (I didn't even know a BL Astronomic exists).

Is it really the OW AST? The case does not look like tantalum though. Since you can order AST with custom dial color and numerals, it may be a custom color.

AST can be ordered with different color dials. If one can be approved with AST, BL is vanilla.

Wish the FFC could have more custom options instead of just the color at 12.

But that will render the concept of OW meaningless since it is not really an OW, if a customer can opt for the exact same configuration as the OW.

The minute hand and the local hour hand in the subdial are also in different color than the OW. I could be wrong but the case does not have the bluish grey tint of the tantalum. Also the tantalum case would never be offered as an option for the AST.

I will ask my boutique when I visit next time since someone from there was at the event. I am sure he would know if the OW owner shows up.

No need for concern, genuine custom FPJ dials must all be approved by FPJ himself. No one can "opt" for an OW set up, obviously.

Someone once asked for a particularly garish color dial and FP said no. He didn't like it enough that the answer was no, he didn't want one of his watches looking like that even if it meant forfeiting the sale of a grand sonnerie watch. I forget what was asked for, but it must have really sucked!

Spoke to someone that was at the party and they mentioned the only watch AST was there. Not sure if this was the "one"

My bad.

From the picture, it does not look blue though. Must be the lighting. Glad to hear that you have a chance to see a true unicorn.

Thanks for solving our Only Watch mystery

A photo like that is exceptionally rare. I can't imagine there's more than 30 AST and FFC in existence.
Since there only two watch maker that works on AST and FFC

Does anyone have news regarding the 20th Anniversary allocations or do you know if there have been any deliveries?

Some rejections were sent and some ”you are being waitlisted” emails were also sent out. I am not holding my breath on mine.

Forgot to mention that owners of the previous ruthenium boutique editions are the ones getting first dibs. And the remaining ones will be allocated to the rest of the applicants.

Got delivery of this gem 2 weeks ago. I had never seen any of the Tokyo editions in person before so I cant compare but this watch is everything I imagined and more!!!!

A lot of different characteristics that make it special and differentiates from all the other Journes of the regular lineup.

- The 2 tone case is amazing the gold accentes in the crown, pushers pop.
- The hue of the titanium case is great and its also light.
- The ruthenium dial
- The skeleton
- The movement is spectacular the combination of both metal really make it pop.

There are too many different details in this watch that IMO FPJ really knocked it out of the park with this one and an amazing end to the LIMITED EDITION FPJ Watches!!!!!

Thank you for the pictures and a huge congrats again. This is a very "reasonably" priced limited edition and in many ways it is more special than the previous versions due to the one-off movement. Some people feels that it is a "downgrade" CMS movement but I think it just made it unique.

Cannot wait to see one in person.

And you should inquire about the tray. My wife would be very unhappy if the tray is missing.
