Batman 116710BLNR vs 126710BLNR difference?

Hi. Can someone with experience let me know how different the case feels on the wrist between the old and new Batman GMT Master II (both Oyster bracelet).

The all black 116710LN has been daily watch for over 15 years, mainly because of how perfectly it just sits on my wrist, and despite adding some very nice other watches over the years, I've always ended up wanting to get the GMT back on my wrist the moment I get home.

So... probably going to add a Batman and have a 2nd watch I actually want to wear. Would prefer a newer model and new movement, but I note there's *some* change to the case.

It's pretty tricky to find the newer model with Oyster, so I'm not sure I'll be able to get one on the wrist prior to pulling the trigger. Is it basically undistinguishable on the wrist, or are there big enough differences that it's worth tracking one down to check the wrist feel? Thx!

For what it’s worth, I personally cannot notice any differences in the size/shape or wrist feel.

i dont think there is any change to the case dimensions or size , only the movement inside is upgraded for the new 126710 BLNR.

I've had both, there is no difference in case size or feel on the wrist. You get a different movement and a swiss made logo on the bottom of the dial if I remember correctly.

Does anyone who has both 116710 and 126710 also have a set of calipers?

The reason I ask is because a few websites claim the lugs on the later 126710 are slightly slimmed, but I cannot find anything official on this. I'd be curious what the dimensions actually are.

I think the only difference is the movement. That & a crown between the "swiss" & "made" at 6 o'clock.

Apart from that my 116710 looks just like a 126710

I was able to buy a "safe queen" 116710BLNR (stickered from 2018) which I preferred to the 126710 due to the 31xx vs 32xx issues.

I always prefer the buy the 11 series over the 12 if all else is equal. For the BLNR, they are the same except for the power reserve.

There are people that still promote that myth but forum members found no measurable differences when the first 12 series GMT came out. I briefly owned an 11 series BLNR and a 12 series BLRO and the cases appeared identical to me.

As far as I know the lugs are different (slightly slimmer) there some good videos on YT, also the crystal has anti reflective coating from the inside, the crown logo at 6, and finally the movement. These are the differences as far as I recall

Haha, this is precisely what I am getting it with my question above. The two posts above contradict each other on lug size. Anyone with both also have a set of calipers? Or can anyone point me to measurements that have been done in the past?

To my eye, the 126710 looks slightly less boxy (at least the BLRO), but there could be other slight design changes that result in that, not just lug dimensions. Like (again relying on internet hearsay), I'm heard that the bezel edge ring on the BLRO is slightly different in size than the others; perhaps that's what I'm seeing with respect to proportions.

Read about the lugs being slimmer but honestly even side by side I personally cannot see it.
