Concerning the ad video, I wonder if it's natural or imaginable in some business culture for someone to give a colleague (who may also be a love interest) a platinum Patek as a surprise gift during a business party of some sort.

But then the question now is: Why not just promote Aquanaut or Nautilius? I think they already are in this category in the mind share of the targeted audience.
First thing I was impressed with was the guy being given the Cubitus is a beta when his girlfriend(?) giving it is wearing a rainbow 7968R. She could have given him a 5811G if she thinks he's a keeper.

when I was at the event we had the chance to talk to thierry a bit.
Regarding the case size he said that the movement (big date) could only fit in a case size of 43mm and up and that he decided on 45mm after testing 43/44/45

I was quite taken aback when the guy at the try on table told us it was 45mm (as I have a wrist size of about 16,5 cm). But after trying it on I‘d say what Ichiran said before. Since its L2L is only slightly bigger than the case, it‘s quite wearable even on a smaller wrist. One would need to get used to that wide face though..

Regarding the couple in the video, he mentioned that they actually became a couple after the shoot. Funny tidibit
