Curved Spring Bar Question

Hello--

On a visit to the NYC Omega boutique, I had them take my Seamaster off the bracelet and put it on a nato. They used the special curved spring bars. Now, I would like to put it back on the bracelet, but I am having a hard time removing the curved bars. I've used a spring bar tool, tired the dental floss trick, my wife's finger nails...
These spring bars don't budge.
Am I missing a trick to these?
My closest AD is two hours away...really don't want to drive out there just for a bracelet swap.

I hope they didn't use shoulderless bars. Anyhow, I would phone the Boutique where the installation was performed and ask them what the trick is to removing those bars.

The curved spring bars curve out away from the watch case. I have read that if you can tilt them upwards against the watch case you can reach the tab or ridge on the shoulder to release the bar. Don't know if this will work but you could always cut them off with snippers if you are able to move (or remove) the nato strap to expose the spring bars. Tape the hell out of the surrounding areas and lugs in any event.

I used to just rotate the curved side to 90° downward and then you'll be able to reach the gap where the pin is angled away from the lug.

It does take more pressure than a straight springbar to compress the spring because the pin is usually in a bind with the wall of the lug hole.

So, as long as we're on this subject, can someone explain why Omega would install a NATO using a curved spring-bar? It seems like a normal spring-bar would work better.

It's worth noting I don't use NATO straps, so forgive me if the answer is obvious to anyone who does.

Thank you all for the replies. I did end up taking it to the AD. They did eventually get the curved bars removed, but it took two employees and about twenty minutes.
It made me feel better. Those things are just tough...
