Just picked up a BNIB DD 36 Platinum fluted bezel with baguettes this week. It is very nice… not nearly the heft of the Platinum smooth bezel DD 40’s that I have. The size (36mm) with a fluted bezel/baguettes is appropriate to the diminutive size of the DD 36mm case. It will be much used and much appreciated going forward.

That said, I do think that a Platinum DD 40 with a fluted bezel/baguettes would indeed (at least in my opinion) be over the top…. relative to the potential “bling” factor. Attached are comparative pictures. Comments are most welcome.

The fluted 36 is incredible and a perfect size, even in platinum the smooth bezel is not for me.
It always seemed just right, that was until the fluted was released!

OP, I agree with your comments. You have an impressive collection of platinum watches. Which is your favorite?

Have to agree, especially seeing it next to the 40

Personally, the 36mm would be my choice.

I love that you have 5 platinums…it is hard once you wear it to wear anything else but you have taken it to another level!

Fluted 36 for me. The smaller a watch is the more comfortable it is and as a bonus it’s less likely you’ll put a massive ding on it :-)

I have to admit I want that Daytona and 40 roman and fluted 36.
