I'm still struggling with unwanted reflections. Although they can be dramatic, they interfere in my efforts to capture the subtilties of the onyx dial.

Perhaps a polarizer filter is what's called for, although it will extend exposure time.

A couple of fresh pics using a polarizer. As expected, it added 4-stops of exposure.

Extended exposure times risk sharpness.

I think these do a better job of capturing the dial texture.

Interesting that the claps is wider on the SS. Nice that the Canopus has the adjustable clasp
