This cracks me up. TRF Sponsor with fake Sub photo
I was looking at one of the sponsor links ("Asset Appeal") and noticed something was wrong with their Submariner photo. Clearly, it's a fake Sub. Most of you will notice right away, but the dead giveaway is the magnifying lens. Also, the "Swiss - T<25" at under the 6 o'clock circle on a Maxi-Case?? Come on man, they're not even trying! I looked at their products for sale and they look legit, I just wonder how in the world did they miss this??

If that isn't a business killer it should be.

I've always felt that their banner tagline "Stop Paying Retail Price" on a Rolex forum website (with the picture of a GMT Pepsi on Jubilee) was a tad out of touch.
I wish nothing more than to pay retail price. —Danny

What did they say when you emailed them that their stock photo was a Frankenstein (or worse)?
You did that before a bold call out here to sully their rep, right? I noticed they don't have that item offered for sale in their listings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The problem is not that he has the photo... any web designer could have done it unintentionally and the owner of the domain doesn't even look at it... the real problem is that he sells dubious watches... does he sell them? Does anyone have any information about that?
You wrote to the owner of the domain before dirtying him here to see his point of view... Or the TRF administrators checked the content of the web before charging the advertising guideline.... Chan Chan Chan....

I'm Nick from Asset Appeal, and I want to address a recent issue with one of our advertisements on this forum.
We recently made a mistake in our website by having our design firm use an image of a watch that was not authentic. This licensed Adobe Stock image slipped through our review process, an oversight we deeply regret. As soon as we were notified, we immediately removed the image and are currently updating our website to ensure all depictions are accurate. We pride ourselves on our commitment to authenticity, which makes this error particularly disappointing for us. We want to assure you that this incident does not reflect our standard practices or values. For those unfamiliar with our process, we have a rigorous authentication protocol for every watch we sell. You can review the details of this process on our website https://www.assetappeal.com/watchauthentication. We're committed to maintaining the highest standards in our industry. To prevent such oversights in the future, we're implementing additional checks in our website review process and ensuring all pictures on the site are created and owned by Asset Appeal. We understand the importance of trust in our business, and we're dedicated to continually earning yours through transparency and integrity. We REALLY appreciate those who reached out and your understanding as we work to rectify this situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to address any issues and maintain an open dialogue with our community. In fact, I'd like to extend a personal invitation to all of you to visit our showroom in Las Vegas. We'd be happy to show you our authentication process in person and answer any questions you might have. It's a great opportunity for us to meet face-to-face and for you to see firsthand the care we take with every timepiece. Thank you for your continued support and trust. We look forward to serving you and hopefully meeting some of you in person soon. Sincerely, Nick Asset Appeal |

It's a real and obvious fake. If you go to stock.adobe.com and enter rolex in the search field, it's the first watch shown and there are several pics of it with box and tag, etc.

No real damage done I'm sure, just the gallery having a bit of a jab at your expense. Just be glad it wasn't a tattoo.
