Buying the same exact watch multiple times for color

Anyone else bought the same exact watch multiple times simply to change dial color?

I'm officially guilty now. I now have this GS in black and blue. I've had the black one for a couple years but am currently lacking blue in my collection. Now I have both LOL. I plan to sell the black eventually.

Anyone else care to fess up on multiple watch model purchases? This hobby is a disease

I have a black dial Sub. My next watch will likely be a 126613LB.

Moonswatch and Blancpain x Swatch. Multiple colors. Not sure if it counts though

Not here.
This can get to be an expensive hobby. I like to collect watches but keep the brand & design/style diverse.

I traded and sold several over the years to diversify in colors, black watches are nice but as I get older I prefer a splash of color.

At one point I had two subs, two black bays … it’s fun to have the same watch in different colors. Love both those GS!

Also, ALMOST perfect photo!!

I currently have 2 OP's, Turquoise and Celebration Dials. I have the BLRO and had the BLNR at the same time for many years. I used to have the Tudor BB smiley face in different colors.
I do this with shoes too

Buying the same exact watch multiple times for color

Does this count?
Wife’s turquoise and mom’s red. Liked them so much I picked up a yellow for me!

I think it’s probably pretty common in the Rolex kingdom. Particularly the Sub, as the LV and black have such drastically different looks.

I had both a blue Pelly and a LHD for a hot minute, but moved on from both.

I’m sure there are a lot of Speedmaster fans who will be (or have) added a white dial 3861 as well.

Other than a Sub or Speedy, I can’t see me allocating resources to get two of the same watches with different dials. Not that it’s not great, it’s just with the finite purchasing power I have, I like to cover more bases in my collection.

I haven’t but I’m not a whale. If I was, I’d definitely be up for a hulk and black, blnr and BLRO, green gold day date and white gold etc. it’s a disease!

I saw a lady that bought 2 identical Franck Mullers, with different colored straps. Presumably to match different outfits.
Now that's crazy.

Nope, never. Also never buy more than 4, maybe 5, ok, perhaps 7 watch straps for one timepiece. nope. Never.

So... Red Pill or Blue Pill?

Boring, probably, but I've worn a GMT since the early 1970's and never felt the need to blow dough on another timepiece. Why would I?
Find something that doesn't disappoint, and stick with it.

It’s crazy to me but so is this hobby… So, there’s that.

I would never do it.
