White Speedy Incoming (impulse purchase)

Was walking around NYC today and stopped by Omega boutique to check a white speedmaster.
I had Aqua Terra on a rubber strap few years back, but it did’t seem special enough so I sold it and moved towards Rolexes.
Nevertheless Speedmaster was something I was always interested in. The only thing that was stopping me - black matte dial that was somewhat boring (while still being iconic, don’t get me wrong).
Pictures of new white dial speedy were nice, but boy oh boy it is amazing in person. Left deposit and boutique manager promised 2 months of wait at max. Very solid compared to typical Rolex customer treatment :)

awesome!

I'm still waiting on mine, SA said that Omega is planning on sending to boutiques sometime in June. I'll shoot him a text tomorrow.

Do you plan on keeping it on the bracelet? I already bought the OEM rubber for mine.

Nice

Was the one you photographed on your wrist already spoken for? Confused why you didn't just walk out with it.

Congrats in advance. And yeah, when you see the white dial in-person it's a different experience vs photos. Omega nailed the dial on this one.

This one looks amazing in person. Photos don't do justice. The dial is beautiful and the watch has a nice balance and good proportions. Bracelet and clasp are on point with that push button micro-adjust. Very tempting.

Between this and the new Aqua Terra, I have to say that Omega is really stepping up their game. I'm impressed with the engineering and implementation of a microadjust on the new AT butterfly clasp. Looking forward to seeing it in action. I think the lacquer on the AT is a nice touch and the oval-link bracelet with tapering is a vast improvement from all the previous iterations of the AT. The range of size offering is also great (34, 38, and 41mm, very good size selection). For me, 38mm to 39mm is the perfect size.

For those interested, two months of wait appeared to be only three weeks! Watch was delivered today (love omega’s free overnight shipping). Will get it sized tomorrow and probably won’t take off for some time..

Congratulations!

I had a similar experience with Chicago Omega Boutique. Excellent customer service and overnight shipping to my door. 4 week wait after deposit put down. Rubber strap thrown in as a small bonus.

Not too small of a bonus! Nice. Which exact strap is it? Can you share a link please?

I don’t see that there is a specific link on Omega’s site. It is the rubber strap that is one of the three strap options (bracelet, rubber or leather). It is a nice option to have to alter the look and is specific to the speedmaster (has moon crater intentions on back side.

Sweet watch and hard to not wear any speedies without that rubber strap now for me. Just so comfortable and looks so right.
