There is a “Blancpain Picture Thread” if you look down a few threads.

I would get one at 40mm but there are just a few on the secondary market that are that size and all very pricey limited editions. I know there are bathyscapes in the 40 range but I like the thin ceramic bezel less.

Yep! Just picked this up a week or so ago. Had a little fitment issue to sort out up front, but that's straight now. This watch is great, I really like the proportions, the colors, the movement, everything. My wrist is just a hair under 7.5 (for reference), I would say you could easily wear this as small as 6.75" and as large as 8". The blue is very rich, and the sunburst is subtle. I am neutral on the 4:30 date placement, but do appreciate the dial colored date background. The date is large enough to read yet blends in nicely. This may just have become my favorite sports watch.

Looks great!
Would you say the new reference 5010 on bracelet wears similarly to a 41mm Submariner?

More detailed answer is the watch can come in 3 versions .. Bracelet, Strap or NATO strap. I have 2 of the 42.3mm watches ... One Act one (Steel black dial) on a NATO strap which is the only way the watch comes. I also have the new model of Titanium watch that comes in the three different versions. I bought the Bracelet version but I also have the NATO strap so I can change when ever I want. On the NATO strap the watch definitely seems to be smaller. But, both are extremely comfortable to wear. The bracelet design of the Blancpain is superb.

As CharlesN mentioned, it wears very much like a 12 Sub. It is a bit thicker, but lug to lug very comparable. Attached are two pics of the 5010 next to my LV, switched for perspective.

I'll also add this little nugget. This not from a full test over a 0-x hour interval. Just a snap shot. I wound the watch when I got it last week and yesterday at random just dropped it on the TG for a spot check.

Thanks E! Those are great comparison photos! I agree, very similar size.

I had the chance visit a Blancpain boutique a few weeks back and I’m glad I did. Getting to try on the different Fifty Fathoms sizes, dial colors and strap/bracelet combos left me with Easy E’s choice as my favorite. I was surprised how comfortable the bracelet was, figuring I’d prefer the sail cloth.
So, the 5010 in blue is now at the peak of my watch want list. As an aside, the boutique staff could not have been any more friendly or accommodating. It was a great experience all around. |

The 5010 on bracelet with the blue dial is gorgeous … can you purchase the sail cloth from the AD to accompany the titanium bracelet??

I didn't ask when I was trying the watch on, but based on the past 45mm threads I've seen, the answer is yes. The lugs are drilled BTW so it would seem like a straight forward task to swap. I seem to recall one of those prior posters saying that dealing with the fine hex screws is challenging though. |

I have also recently visited my local BP boutique and tried out the new 42mms including the gold ones. Have to say the black dial on the rubber strap was a real show stopper. As someone mentioned it wears very compact on the wrist and being in titanium, balances well on the wrist as well. VERY tempted.

Heres mine that I got recently!! The size is perfect, i love the weight of the titanium grade 23 and also the dark hue of it making it super stealthy.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I really love it. I have a review of it here if anyone is interested.

Always been a fan. Even more so now that they've gone to the smaller 42mm case size.

![]() Would love to see the new full ceramic Bathyscape irl. Fist time BP releases a ceramic bracelet. Curious if the finishing is up to par with other brands like AP. |
