Guess it depends on how much it bothers you - how slow is it? As I mentioned none of my 5817s are super accurate think the worst one last I checked was like 10 seconds slow but it never bothered me. My 5547 is crazy accurate even with drained power I picked it up after sitting for 2 days and it was within a second. My tradition doesn't have seconds hand but it seems spot on accurate too I kept it wound for probably the first month I owned it and it was spot on where it should be. So they can hone in the accuracy I just think with the non-hacking of the 5817 that wasn't the purpose of that watch.

That said it could just need a quick tweak if it's been serviced recently but I'd wait a bit and see if it bothers you or not over time.

I love how it fits my wrist but others say the lugs are too obtrusive. My personal opinion is it works great with flatter wrists and not as well with rounder ones. It's one I'd recommend trying on before buying.

My personal favorite is the stainless steel blue. The rose gold version is absolutely stunning as well if you like gold watches it's one of the best values in my opinion.

Just a perpetual calendar, tourbillon, jump hours, retrograde date, minute repeater no big deal! 40mm case is pretty crazy as well can't find thickness do you happen to know?

Took the Tradition with me to Vegas this past weekend and it sparked quite a few conversations never had more compliments on a watch before. One Rolex only guy may have seen the light it was almost like he just then realized other brands also make fantastic watches. Glad I could help him.

I normally don't like any attention either but in Vegas where there are a million nice watches everywhere you look it's about the only place I feel comfortable being seen and openly talking about them. Was kind of nice.

Just a quick picture of my 3800, uncrossed T on the dial and gold capped crown. The dial has a lovely creamy look to it that you simply cannot capture in a photo

That’s really interesting that they used to leave the T uncrossed. Do you know why they did that?

I don't know why, but it was a feature of the earlier dials, like the gold capped crown and 200m water resistance.
This is a great link if it works to a detailed history of this model.

My Breguet incoming! Finally I own my first Breguet and definitely not the last one. Yesterday I picked up my dream watch. I so happy that I finally made it. I was dreaming about this Breguet for over 10 years since they came out. I think this older generation of Marine looks much more better with this beautiful dial and nicer finish on the movement compared to the current generation of Marine line. In this price point I think it’s one of the best value for money for a high end watch on the market today.

Congrats!! Fantastic choice definitely agree one of the best values out there in that price range and really not much else close in my opinion.

The way how the dial is playing with the dial is absolutely magical. Hard to take a good picture but those are the best of mine.

I’m very happy to be in Breguet family.

For a brand not known for sports watches this Marine sure feels built like a tank. Moreso than any Rolex or Omega I’ve owned it just feels unbreakable. All the heft from all the gold probably is a big part of it. Its also gorgeous and absurdly accurate.

After reading this thread, and seeing pictures of the Tradition with those cogs, jewels, blue screws, plates, all in full sight, and in a impeccable finishing, I HAD to get one... So I just picked this 7027BA

Thanks!, I got it from a second hand dealer in my location. Good condition, keeps very good time (AFAICS), box+papers, for the equivalent of around 12K USD, which I believe is the market price.

Before my purchase, I tried a 7057 from AD but didn't like the lug-to-lug, the weird looking rehaut, and also the price. The dial is slightly bigger on the 7057, and I like how it pops out above the rehaut (compared to the 7027), but it also hides the movement more. Also, no YG on the 7057.
