Pam 1087

Does anyone have a PAM 1087? Really intrigued by the overall look of the watch. I would be interested to hear people's thoughts. I would buy on the secondary market to avoid the depreciate as soon as you walk out of the Panerai boutique.

If you are okay with a snap-on back (instead of the traditional screw-down) and 100 meters of WR (instead of the traditional 300 meters), it’s an attractive base (i.e., two-handed) PAM.

I think it’s a clean looking watch and has a lot of strap potential

As Cru mentioned, it has a snap on caseback but still gives you 100m’s water resistance.

I just noticed from Cru's post that it has 100m water resistance. That is such a letdown. I love the simplicity of the dial, especially with no second hand. However, 100m isn't enough, in my opinion, for a tool watch. I gravitate more towards this watch over the Luminor Marina because I don't like the date window. Difficult decisions ahead.

Get a base 8-day, problem solved.

Check out the 914, I have it and it's as simple as it can be and great at the same time. Even the minimum text it has is colour synced with markers and hands.

Do they have the 8 day with the white dial? I couldn’t find it on the website. I saw a member on the forums last week who had one. Looked so good.

I have a 1087 and it is an really beautiful watch. Absolute strap beast, goes with everything.

The dial is creamier than in the pics, has a slightly off-white colour and a very slight matte texture to it. It looks really beautiful in the flesh.

I'll try post some pics shortly.

Thats really nice! Besides, do you think you will go deeper than 330ft? Plenty waterproof for me. Heck, Most AP's are rated to 100m. I say get this watch, its stunning.

it's tricky. On one side, a Luminor is a dive watch. Should be capable of 300m. On the other side this will maximum see a hot tub. Will have to see it in person.

I love this dial. Is this a sandwich dial? It looks like it in your right photo but for some reason I thought the Base did not have a sandwich dial. Thank you in advance.

Actually I purchased it having only seen online images and assuming it was a painted dial. I was pleasantly surprised to find it has a sandwich dial!

That is interesting. If it would apply to the black dial I should consider a new aquisition
