Collection consolidation opinions wanted

I’m looking to move out of my 3570 Speedmaster and white dial Seamaster Diver 300M (on rubber strap) to consolidate into one watch. Unfortunately neither of these watches get much wrist time anymore and it’s time to get something that will get worn more.

Planning to use both towards a trade for something else.

My watches in my collection staying are 126610LN, and 126713GRNR.

What I’m deciding between are:
Explorer II 216570 black dial (love the polar but more than I want to spend)
OP41 Blue or Green dial
Explorer 1 214270

Leaning towards an OP due to adding color variety to my collection but would love your opinions

I get you favouring the OP based on colour but out of the three I’d choose the Explorer 1 for me it’s a classic

Out of the watches you selected, OP to give you more variety.

I would seriously consider not buying another Rolex and having a 2 Rolex 1 other brand collection.

As great as Rolex are, I would find it boring having purely a 3 piece collection all from the same brand.

IMH(umble)O: The OP in 41 looks too big. 36 would be my choice….if the 214270 didn’t exist. But it does, so for me it would be 214270.
Have you ever considered one of the more recent, thus and thoroughly modern 5 digit Explorer II (16570)? Better size than the current 216570…IMO.
And congrats on the 126713, it looks sooooo great!

I would rather add some more money and go for VC Overseas or AP RO.

Thanks for the Inputs, some additional thoughts.

I've thought about diversifying into Cartier a lot recently with a Santos Dumont, but would struggle wearing it much as it doesn't match my lifestyle in SoCal.

In terms of going for a RO or Overseas, spending that much is just out of the question with a baby on the way and having just bought my GRNR about 2 months ago.

While I think the Exp 1 is a killer watch, having 3 black dial watches as a collection sounds a bit boring which puts me off from that one, and same could be said for the black Exp2.

Really threw in the Black Exp2 vs. Polar as there's usually a $1-2k difference in price. As I think more, in the long run the additional cost doesn't matter, so I'd likely go Polar if I went the Exp2 route. I prefer the modern Exp2 over the 5 digits after having tried on a Polar last year.

What I like about the OP is the color variation in the dial and the simplicity of a three hander.

Open to other suggestions in the sub $10k USD range!

Consolidating sounds like a great plan. Given your collection, adding some color with an OP41 Blue or Green dial would be a fantastic choice. It offers versatility and a fresh look, complementing your existing pieces nicely. The Explorer I is also a solid option, but the OP41's vibrant dial could add that extra variety you're looking for. Go with what excites you the most!

I traded green sea master 300 and grey side of the moon and a little money for a Sedna speedmaster and it was one of my best trades ever. Such a good value used. I can’t take a decent picture of it but it’s so nice.

Congrats! Nice choice! One of the best watches in Rolex’s catalogue. Well done.
