Luxury Bazaar for Aquanaut

Hi everyone,

I'm considering purchasing the discontinued 5164A from Luxury Bazaar in Pennsylvania.

Did any purchased any watches with them? I'm looking for a Go/no go regarding this dealer.

The watch would be full set in mint condition.

Thanks!

I personally would not use them. Much better places to find a mint 5164a

I wouldn't hesitate using Luxury Bazaar.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Care to give some examples?

Regarding luxury bazaar, did you have a bad experience with them?

I’m from overseas, so I’d fly in to the US to get the watch.

Thanks!

I suggest you might benefit from very thorough research on any grey dealer before you make any grey market purchase and seek independent references in reviews etc.. There is a lot of information on YouTube.

I’ve purchased a couple watches from LB. Good prices and service. Pieces were just as described. Brick and Mortar dealers that have been in the business for 20 years don’t last that long by being shady.

Owner of that place is a scumbag. Would think twice.

Please provide more details here... What is your statement based on? Do you have personal experience dealing directly with LB or the owner that led you to this conclusion? If so, share examples.

Stating that owner is a scumbag without any additional details is not cool. TRF members are looking for honest feedback based on experience...

Great Dealer, I've done 20+ transactions with both Adrian and Roman. I don't see how someone could call them a scumbag. I suggest you call them, talk to them and get your own impression.

They have done a ton of videos on YouTube. Check them out here to get a feel for them. They seem first class to me. As with any big name used watch dealer you may pay more for the peace of mind that comes along from buying from a well-respected seller who will vouch for the product and stand behind it.

Selling shady shades is shady.

No experience here.

There are plenty of other trusted sellers here who may be able to source you that reference

Do you mind sharing and if not that’s your prerogative? The beauty of this forum is people come here to share experiences both good and bad and it truly helps future buyers.

Following up on my previous post. They’ve never responded to me on multiple inquires for various watches after getting someone on the phone for an initial request. These were easy watches to get.

Also if you want a mint unpolished aquanaut, LB would not be the people I’d want to buy from. I’d want a unpolished unworn brand new one and there are much better places to find a watch with that criteria

you need to know that majority of their watches are refinished

Would you mind giving some examples of other (better) places to find brand new unworn unpolished aquanauts?

Thanks!

That would certainly be a deal breaker for me.

They assured me it is a brand new unworn unpolished one.

You think that maybe asking folks at HSWA to take a look is a good approach to avoid any issues like this?

Thanks!

I've tried scheduling an appointment but they're fully booked for the next 2 weeks. Since I'll be in the US for only 3 days next week, do you guys have an alternative for checking authenticity?

No grey watch is brand new. None, zero, zilch.

I highly recommend K2 Luxury (they have offices in Dubai, Geneva and HK). I'd reach out to them about a new 5164A...if they don't have one in stock, they can source one.

+1 for K2. They may be priced high but it would be well worth the slight premium in my opinion.
