Anyone have a JLC Polaris Date in green.

Would love to hear feedback and if you love it or not.

I like the watch I like the setup I like the screw down crown and I like the water proofness of it. for me the downside is the green is more of a military OD Green and it does not come on a steel bracelet which is way the way I like to buy watches because I can change out for a strap or different straps for a lot less money than I can go back and try to pick up a bracelet that would fit it. As I understand it it retails for $11,000 on the strap. All in all it's not a watch I would not purchase if I were interested in that watch which I slightly am I may consider it someday even on the strap but for now it's not for me.

Thanks for the reply. I probably will try one at my local boutique, but I just wanted to get feedback if anyone was rocking one yet.

I don’t own one but have handled them several times. For me it’s too green, it might not age well colour wise.

Interestingly enough, both the Toronto and NYC boutiques talked me out of buying the watch if I was going to swim with it. Both indicated also that people were complaining of the timing bezel not staying in place. In fact, the nyc boutique offered and suggested having their watch maker adjust the crown on the turning bezel if I did purchase one.

I like the blk out of the 3 colours. But it’s not a watch I would have confidence in.

I had it and wore it on the black rubber strap rather than the green it came on.
Ultimately though I didn’t love it - I just felt the Polaris line feels a bit too refined to be the sporty watch it’s aiming to be (but I’m probably not worth listening to as I feel the same about the Royal Oak and Nautilus and Overseas *♂️)

David probably paid the guy $5300 for that one. So it gives you an idea about resale value.
