Help with 16520 case

Hey everyone, explorerdude here! Hope it’s alright to ask for this, could you take a look at this gen 16520 case I purchased and let me know your thoughts on whether it’s authentic?

It has definitely been polished, which I’m ok with, and the eBay seller seems to be trustworthy given his many sales of gen Rolex parts and good feedback. That being said the case shape has me asking myself some questions on whether it might be a aftermarket case with a custom serial. But again that could be because it was polished. Hope you’ll have some time to take a look, thank you!!

I think the midcase and engravings on mid case look correct. I am not confident that the case back is original. If I had to make a bet I would say original mid case and aftermarket case back, but not 100% sure..

Feeling a bit doubtful with these pictures, don’t like the serial engravings.

Thanks for all your replies, I don’t have the case with me now but am attaching photos from the sales post.

The case engravings look genuine, but the case back engravings aren’t deep enough. This is apparently an 88 or 89 case back but even photos I’ve found look like they are deeper even as far back as then.

Looks better on these pictures.
No red flag for both mid case and caseback IMO.
Caseback seems indeed earlier than the watch
