Kollokium

What does everyone think of these new Kollokium pieces being released in the near future? I realize that they're an acquired taste, but I appreciate the company doing something different.

Which do you prefer?

A) Greyed out hands with a yellow seconds hand
B) Yellow hands with blacked out seconds hand

A) Is looking far more cool, it is like a gauge,
B) Is definitely far more legible.

In their place I would divide the new series more, like this:

C) All grey hands;
D) All yellow hands.

I think it was a difficult decision not to choose this over Otsuka 6 on GPHG. :)

I'm torn on which one I like more. My eyes are immediately drawn to the one with grey hands and the yellow seconds hand first, but then I think about how the other one is more legible but looks less stealth like with the yellow hands. I still think that I'll be able to read the greyed out one easily, but I need to make a decision soon. Decisions, decisions!

Yellow hands ……

When you glance at the watch to tell the time your eyes are drawn to the hands.

With the grey hands your eyes are drawn to the second hand, so there is an irritating delay……for me.

The early bird stock was sold out in minutes. Based on this, I think, the rest will be sold out within some hours.

Is this version 2? IIRC they had a version 1 where every pip was lumed, so it had a mesmerizing 3D effect when viewed at different angles. Like looking at a micro cityscape on your wrist. IDK if this new version is also lumed like that though.

I think the orange color was dedicated to the FFF version (Family, Friends and Fools), which is almost impossible to find. That dial imitated a city at night. The only thing that has changed since then is that the dial has different colors, which I think is less impressive, since the rest of the watch remained the same. So these are just “variants”. If I see well, the current one will be something light blue:

VERSUS FFF/GPHG:

I flirted with it but showed some restraint. I think they are sold out now

I was going to go for the grey hands and yellow seconds hand, but I was tied up in meetings and forgot to check back. Alas, it got away. On to the next one!

I gotta tell you I really like their watches!
Fun and very unique!
Wouldn't be an only watch for me but it would be a fun watch to have and wear in the rotation.
The one on the right would be easier to read but for some reason I like the one on the left more.
One of the founders of the brand Amr Sindi AKA the Horophile did a LE of 10 watches with H Moser and Cie. The Purple Haze, I added this to my collection a few years back and love it.
I did not take these two pics but they look far better than my pics LOL
