Watch markings
I was hoping someone could help me with vintage markings. I noticed on some watches serial numbers look stamped while others look engraved. Is this something owners are doing after? or has Rolex done this in the past?
Thanks in advance. Here are some pics. PS- Not my pics so thanks to the people who posted them online |

What happens sometimes is the markings get worn off over time by the band so some people try to re engrave them which is what your picture looks to have been done. Unfortunatley it does diminish the value a bit. Rik
