I purchased a New Daytona from a grey dealer still had factory stickers.
I’ve had the watch since January it has kept impeccable time until yesterday.
It is currently adding 7 seconds a minute. Bob’s watches is offering to look at I’d prefer to through Rolex. Is it possible to have warranty work done through Rolex without a full factory service? If Bobs opens up the watch does this void the warranty? Thank you in advance for your answers and advice.

If warranty work is done by Rolex at one of their own service centres it is basically up to them what work they do to rectify the watch.

It may just need de-magnetising (takes less than 2 mins) or may need a full strip down.

Until they look at the watch they wont know whats wanted.

Giving the watch to a NON-APPROVED watch repair company or person does void the warranty. Don’t do it !!!

You are far better off first testing for magnetism … Any watchmaker or Rolex AD will do that in a few seconds. If you have a compass you can do it yourself.

De-magnetising … Its a DIY job if you want and your warranty will be fine. You do NOT open the watch for that. Its a simple process and the tool needed costs a very few dollars..
