My wife's opinions of my Rolexs.
This thread is not up to TRF's watch review standards. I was talking with my wife last night and, out of the blue, she opinioned about my watches. She wears a Rolex for its looks and durability and is not WIS, nor will she ever be.
The watches. DJ ToG---She does not like at all. Serti GMT---Likes the look and stated that the more you look at the watch the less you notice the rubies and diamonds. Wierd! DJ TT WG---Can now tell the difference between SS and WG. She really liked how the WG shows off colors, especially reds. Stated the watch looks warm and elegant. YM---Wow.....The bezel is just stunning and what a hunk of gold. SS Sub---Simply put....A man's watch! Rugged looking while being understated and at the same time elegant. Those were her unedited words. Be nice as this is not really a review but her thoughts. In her opinion the everyday winner is: |

Bubba,
I like the opinions of your wife! And the winner sure is the SS Sub Date IMHO, as well!

Always listen to your wife. I didn't tonight and now have more time alone on the computer.

My wife wears an EXP II black face as a daily beater... after years of wearing Cartier Roadsters, having given away a lady's DJ and a Franck Muller. She loves the SS Sub too, and was instrumental in not listening to me, and going out and hunting down a black face Daytona.
What a woman!! |

The women seem to love the Sub Date...just the other day I got compliments from two ladies regarding that very same watch...it definately seems to have some sort of magnetism to it!

My partner of 16yrs (though still not married!)
Looked at my first Roelx , my DJ Thunderbird and said it was beautiful (After the Spanish Inquisition of the cost !!) Which I was pretty pleased at. I just don't have the heart (or is it BALL'S ) to tell her that in the last 4 days, I've purchased another DJ and an EXPII !! |

Well, blame Joe if it doesn't work. It's his line.
