Can anyone tell me how much a new submariner black on black with SS bracelet costs at a AD. We don't have one in town so i can't check.

I think I have an idea of how much, but i just want to be sure.

Wow, very funny to go back and read threads like this. Rolex prices increase so far beyond inflation it's amazing. At some point, it is going to bite Rolex. Most people here won't agree with me but that is my opinion. When you're increasing your prices at such a significantly higher rate than everything else, you're entering new markets and new demographics.

I think that's exactly what Rolex wants to do. Move upscale and become a more exclusive, higher end brand. If so, they'll need to work on upgrading their mvts, and better finishing on the mvts, only because when people compare a Rolex to let's say an AP, the most often cited difference is mvt. finishing.

In a time when the rich get richer, and more poverty, and a shrinking middle class, it's a pretty good strategy.

Yes, and that's exactly what I heard, they are cutting back production, as much as 35%.
