Tudor Black Bay 58 bracelet and warranty card
I hope someone can shed some light on this.
I very recently bought the BB58 on a bracelet and it doesn't quite fit. It's either bit too tight or ridiculously loose. Tudor don't make half links for it, I don't want to wear it on a strap and I don't particularly want to start drilling extra hòles in the clasp to expand from the measly 3 micro adjustments that come OEM, as that would surely void the warranty. That leaves me with either sourcing an aftermarket strap or somehow engineering a bit of stretch in the bracelet so that it fits better. Does anyone have any other suggestions? As a side note, on the warranty, all I have is the store's stamp. My name, address and date of purchase have not been written in. Will I have a problem if I ever need to send it in for repair within the warranty period, which I believe has now been extended to 5 years as standard. Thanks |

Had the same problem. After a few months it stretched a little bit and fits perfect now... also, summer doesn’t help. Makes your wrist swell, so when you hit fall it’ll be great and for me was smooth sailing from there. The three micro adjustments / no half link is a fail though. It’s the biggest complaint I’ve seen on this watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm sure if it was winter this problem wouldn't have emerged yet. |

It won’t appreciably “stretch” at all unless you really abuse it. The previous post regarding the bracelet stretching over time is incorrect, IMHO, and more likely due to fluctuations of wrist size over time/seasons. |

I agree on the first point. Hard to say in the second. I know this summer it fits how I like my watches too, and out of the box I just couldn’t get it comfortable. Could be just getting used to it, but will say it was just baaaaaarely too tight before. Seems to me like it’s broken in a bit after a year of daily wear, but who’s to say Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Tudor Black Bay 58 bracelet and warranty card
It’s a problem I have with the 41mm sized Black Bay. It’s a little bit too loose and I like my watches snug. The only other suggestion I can make for you to try is to remove a seemingly unremovable fixed link and use the last adjustment position (loosest) in the clasp.
Here’s the video that shows you how. https://youtu.be/2Ff16dNFSd4 Also it’s not an issue with the warranty. The warranty follows the watch, not the name on the car. |

Simon Freese http://www.simonfreesewatchmakers.com/ in Essex has added an additional hole in the BB58 clasp for a couple of people. It is covered in either a TRF thread or TZUK. As an alternative you could try it on a RubberB or Vanguard rubber strap custom made for the BB58. I have the latter and wear mine permanently on it.

For some people, removing the fixed link and using the outer most adjustment position on the clasp gets them a better fit because it is marginally looser than having the fixed link in and using the innermost adjustment position in the clasp. |

Aren't you just replacing a fixed link with an identically-sized other link though?

The links are sized the same but the adjustment clasp incremental changes are not. You’re replacing a link with additional length from the clasp adjustment if you are using either the innermost or middle position. |

How does that work? To my eyes the fixed link is necessary for the clasp, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I too wear mine exclusively on a NATO now and I think works perfectly on the BB58. Once you wear an oyster bracelet, nothing else compares including the Tudor offering.

This was the reason I sold my BB58. I could never get a comfortable fit on my BB58. If Tudor ever fixes this, I will happily buy another one.

I can't speak for the 58, but I own the GMT. Originally I purchased on leather, then later added a steel bracelet. The bracelet whilst well made and finished just wasn't comfortable for me. I guess I had become accustomed to the Omega Seamaster's adjusting clasp, or the Easylink on my 214270.
I picked up a marine nationale strap, a nice nato from Crown & Buckle and a fitted rubber strap from Vanguard which allows integration of the Tudor OEM clasp which came with the leather. I don't normally like switching straps on my watches, but I found the GMT looked better on alternative straps to the bracelet, and was much more comfortable. I'll use the nato/MN and rubber in the summer, and leather in autumn/winter. The steel bracelet has since been sold. Specifically for the 58, I understand that the Easylink from Rolex fits the clasp which might alleviate some of your fitting issues. I've not tried this myself, but saw a 58 for sale on another forum which had the Easylink fitted. |

+ regarding your warranty card, it states on the card and in the booklet that the card needs to be completed in full in order for it to be valid. I would call up the AD where you purchased it from and see if you can complete these yourself, or if it needs to be done in store.
In the past I have purchased a Rolex where the sales rep forgot to insert the date. I called and they said I could add this in myself, but to make sure it matched the date on the receipt. I guess there must be a central system which shows when the watches were sold/registered. |

Indeed... I bought mine late spring last year.
It is a strap monster though, so I wouldn’t give up on it yet. Mine spends half the time on straps. Here are my favorites: Honey Gold HODINKEE Vanguard Rubber Uncle Seiko Tropic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Too bad there's no micro adjustment. I really like the look of that watch.

The Black Bay bracelets don’t have half links. The North Flag however does. It’s also removable to allow for a custom fit. It’s odd that they didn’t implement half links on the in house Black Bays since they’re released after the NF |
