Tudor BB 58 PIP Size and Alignment Issues
Today I got the call to go pick up my BB 58. Some issues cropped up right away. They don't ruin the watch; more of a disappointment in the quality of finish.
Issue 1. The lume pip is horribly misaligned, this is seen on a few other BB 58s here that have been posted lately. Issue 2. The pip shown on the website materials for the black version is much bigger and more defined than what I received. See my attached photos. I want it fixed, but would not like to see it gone for another few months. What can I do here? Thanks

Only comment I would make is a blind man would love to see your so called horribly misalignment lume pip.Take my advice throw away your high magnification stuff and wear your watch in got health thats far more important than a so called cats whisker alignment point pip.

Tudor BB 58 PIP Size and Alignment Issues
Hello OP, I hear you!
In case your first look always goes to this part of the insert, it will "ruin" your love for the watch and my recommendation is to get it changed immediately. The blind-man story may apply for the "older guys" who have lost their glasses or still see and just don't care. You have to decide. Good luck. |

It's definitely off centre and it would annoy me no end. I'd get it sent of to get replacement bezel insert fitted. Shouldn't take too long.

My Tudor BB GMT bezel was also misaligned. It drove me crazy so I had it fixed when I sent it back to get the date function fixed. They fixed the alignment, but the date function still advances too fast, which is really annoying.

I thought the same and concluded that it's probably (and hopefully) only small dust particles on the crystal and the insert. If not that's an additional argument to get things fixed and would rather strongly question QA (quality assurance) of the production chain. |

I dont think you are being fussy - that would annoy me too. I would ask for a bezel replacement.

Id ask the AD to replace the bezel. If you don’t so so now and want to change it later, you will have to pay for it (don’t ask me how I know).

One doesn’t need a magnifier to see that. Get that fixed.

Yep. Get it fixed. I agree about not loupeing your watch, but I could see this one without it. It would bother me. It’s a focal point of the watch.

Huge congrats on your new watch! Get it replaced under warranty or be grateful and celebrate it like it's the Rolex Daytona "COMOGRA APH" dial. If life gives you lemons...

I'd be interested in hearing what the AD is going to say.
Honestly, I haven't even looked that closely to mine. I know the bezel inlay is misaligned by 0,3mm so it doesn't ever hit the minutemarker precisely. I can't be bothered with it though. If you can't live with it, definitely go to your AD. Please keep us updated. |

Stay off those loupes my goodness. Wear the damn watch and enjoy it! My FOIS chrono hand is one tick off to the left. I've enjoyed it greatly

Busting out a loup on a tudor is like doing doing a taste test (with spit bucket) on miller and coors light. It's just asinine. |

People really insist a loupe is needed to see something so glaringly off? Ignoring and living with it is one thing.

Another in the line of "loupe induced defect."
No sympathy for irritation from high magnification OCD. I can't even really tell there is an issue here. If one of mine had that -ahem- 'defect' - I don't think I could get aggravated by it, nor even notice it under normal viewing. And I am PICKY. But to each their own. It is doubtful that you will ever be happy with any watch made if you continue to inspect them under high magnification.
