Tiffany is just as hard…
Also OP41 or 31 is WAYYYYY easier to get than 36. Lastly the YachtMaster will probably be under retail in 2 years, so if simply just wait if you wanted one of those lol. |

That’s what I thought at first. But after the steep fall, it’s been stable for a few months. Also Rolex is not an idiot. They know to constrain supply for their “halo” pieces for them to continue maintaining their status as “halo” pieces, namely: the white and black Daytona, the Pepsi and the the RLX YM Ti 42

I feel the Skydweller green is harder than Pepsi.

I also thought a Green SD would be harder to get than a Pepsi
But with a Pepsi trading 80% over retail and a Green SD around 50% maybe it’s not |

Not a but interested in what's harder to get as if you believe what you hear on this forum all Rolex watches are hard to get. But if you have this so called AD relation-ship stuff and spent a zillion at AD then perhaps AD might sell you a watch. But on the grey market most all of these so called hard to get watches are available ay crazy prices. So do these special relationship VIP customers buy then sell to the grey for profit.

don't think the submariner date is easier to get than submariner no date.

I would say the no date is harder because they make so few of them comparatively.

Based on my convos with a few different ADs, most people ask for the date. So sub date is “harder to get”. Also spoke to a dealer who put the sub date and the BLNR together in terms of difficulty.
I don’t think absolute rarity is a concern in this. It’s about anecdotal and relative demand to supply ratio. Affordability also drives a lot of demand as well. |

I’d say the green sub is harder to get than the new GMT or even the BLNR.
Also, some of the OPs are a lot harder to get than quite a lot of the watches on that list. OP36 Turquoise, Celebration, Green

The grey market pricing doesn’t always correlate. It’s only a couple of thousand over retail for a blue sky dweller now. The premium for a Ti YM is also less than a black steel daytona and about the same as a Pepsi.

I can walk into ADs as a first time client and they’ll tell me a couple years for a Starbucks, if that. I can ask for a Pepsi at an AD I’m *established* at and they’ll still tell me 4-5 years (or more). It’s honestly not even close. Edit- I actually just looked at my emails. I asked for a Pepsi GMT 3 years 1 month ago from my AD. Still yet to get a call. |

I could get a YM Ti, on the grey for £20k right now. I would be looking at £24k for a black Steel 12 Daytona. We have said on this list the Ym is harder to get.

You seem to have gotten a bit worked up over a simple statement and misinterpreted what I actually said. As you say, we are all going to have different experiences. There are some general guidelines but there are also many variables.

Was much easier for me to get my sub LV vs the BLNR, so I do agree.

Took me 2 years to get a LV sub. Before that got the Pepsi in 6 months and the BLNR without asking. Timing has a lot to do with it.

Heavily disagree but these things will likely vary from AD to AD subjectively

Green dial YG Daytona was near impossible to get unless you were incredibly lucky or one of those special AD relationship VIPs that Padi mentioned.

I was offered one and turned it down. Had recently bought a DD40 and could not do another PM.

Pepsi is harder to get than Daytona Black/White “right now.” Almost no one is getting them in 2024.
There may be some shift in the 126 Daytonas I’m seeing a lot more AD incomings for white than black and in the new reference it appears like Black may be the new preferred variant. Just my .02. |

I see several SS Daytonas most times I go to the mall or Disney. My husband was wearing one once in a meeting and there was 2 others wearing one. Saw a guy last week wearing one in David SW. Many subs. Green subs. See the new GMT’s often. Saw a blue sky dweller recently. But I have only seen 3 other exp 2’s in the wild other than a friend that has one. My AD said he rarely gets them in. I my experience steel Daytonas are not at all rare.
