Any serious vintage AP collectors here?

When it comes to Rolex and Patek there are many threads about vintage models and many people on this forum collect the new and older references but it feels that on the AP sub-forum most threads are about newer references only. I have only recently acquired my first AP and find myself drawn to the brand and would love to add AP watches from different eras including ROs and other lines. AP has such a rich history but unfortunately focused way too much on their moneymaker line in recent times. I have decided to buy this newly released book about AP ( https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/au...d-wristwatches) to know more about their history but in the meantime I wanted to open a discussion here about vintage AP collection. Any collectors here? If yes please share your collections

Hello, This thread looks relevant. Can anybody recognize this 1960´s, 1970´s piece? It has a very rare electric blue dial which is stunning. I can see there are other extra flat watches but this seems to be a rare piece which I cannot find any information on and difficult to value. Its got a white gold case numbered 42036 and a blue sapphire on the crown. Calibre 2003.

The 2003 movement looks like the real deal at first glance, and was used in a number of "extra flat" models, but I haven't seen any other electric blue dial/sapphire crown combos. Good luck with getting more info.

This is a great book! Enjoy it!

I had two pocket watches from 1996, skeleton pieces. Those came in the set.
