List of vintage watch dealers

Hi guys, just thought would be nice to have a list of trusted vintage watch sellers/shops/webistes you have previously purchased from/heard good things about in one place for easy reference. Please add in to the names here along with website/contact info if available so that we don't have to go thru" all the different threads looking for vintage watch seller recommendations.

1) Mark Lerman (mark@webstorm.com)
2) Jed aka Jedly1(http://www.thetimetraveler.co/)
3) Erik Ku (http://10pastten.com/)

** PLEASE NOTE BOTH LERMAN AND MULHOLLAND WERE REMOVED FROM THIS LIST! **

Reputable dealers in Mexico?

Any dealers in Mexico? How is the vintage market there?

+1 for Jacek, I've bought from twice and always happy. Even more importantly, one of them involved a return which was super-smooth (nothing wrong with the watch).

Count me as another happy customer of Jacek's. Great in-person purchase experience at his shop - won't hesitate to visit again!

Thanks, what watch did you buy? Will update you in the list (will wait till your post count crosses 50 in the "vintage section" by new rules for recommendation above, think you have 2 posts now in the "vintage section" though 21 overall so keep posting:)

In the UK, I would highly recommend http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/

They have a mix of vintage, relatively new (so dated late 90's to mid 2000's) and current (some new and I am assuming grey market at big discounts).

Incredibly, they give a full 7 day no quibble money back guarantee. No reason needed plus a year's guarantee .

They currently have a very nice 74 Daytona 6263 case No 402*** with Sigma O T SWISS T O silver dial with black subsidiaries .

I have just visited the Ian Blowers website, intrigued by your comments. I am a modest GMT vintage aficionado. To my surprise, watch reference no A1177 looks like a GMT PCG, and the 24 hrs hand is big size. Not necessarily a fake, but I'd definitely stay away from this watch. Are we sure their reputation is as pristine as we declare here? Thanks for help.

It looks like the hands and the dial have been replaced, it should have a gilt dial and a small 24h hand. You can always ask them questions, the buyers should do research before they buy the watch anyways.

I fully agree w your comments. Let's just make sure that this list is not taken blindly by any of us,experienced or less so...... And that everybody understands that due diligence on vintage stuff is compulsory. I live in china so we know what I'm talking about..... A minefield.

Clearly all watches need to be checked for originality especially when there is a long history behind them. What I like about Ian Blowers is the 7 day no quibble return and 1 year guarantee if you choose to keep the watch.

They are quite obviously a more regular watch shop and will not have the particular Rolex expertise on originality of people like Jed, Eric, Mike, Jacek etc. However, they are a great source of watches at very good prices and are definitely not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. But you will clearly need to do your due diligence on originality when buying vintage. That is always the case and obviously TRF and VRF are great places to check such things out.

But how many sellers give you a full 7 days to make your mind up and then give you a one year guarantee if you choose to keep it? Hence my recommendation.
