Ouch! Yep, off to service it goes in my opinion! Hope it is under warranty.

I am pretty sure, the consensus will be to send it to RSC for repair. I am pretty sure, it can be fixed. Good luck! |

I was washing my Explorer today when it slipped out of my hand and fell into the sink after hitting the partition between the sinks.
There's no apparent damage and it's too soon to tell if there's anything wrong. It made quite a thud but it only fell maybe six inches in each fall.

I would guess that dropping a Rolex is the leading cause of damage.
You don't really say what the poor running consists of now, but it's pretty hard to just knock it out of adjustment.... Usually something gets broken..

You sir, had a completly different reaction in accuracy due to the fact your were using it as intended... A tool for the man wearing it. The "tool" just happened to be a projectile to be hurled at your now ex wife. It makes perfect sense. |

The good news is that it is fixable and if under warranty probably without cost for you.
Good luck

I agree with Erix. I dropped my SD in the shower as well, and after a while the rotor started making a buzzing sound when it spun around. I took it straight to the RSC and they fixed it for free under warranty, no questions asked.

Well when you get it back I'd suggest you adhere to the rule other owners, and now you, have learned the hard way -- never put it on or take it off in a position where it can fall more than a couple of inches on to something soft. This is particularly true for strapped watches without deployants.
That said, sorry for your loss. |

My SD must be defective. having used it twice as a knuckle duster, dropped it three times onto the deck, had my had sandwiched between some coral rocks that shifted, its still fine , never skipped a beat. Must be something about the E series SD. They seem indestructible

It is in at the doctors now - warranty won't cover as they know it was given a severe bash - they quoted couple hundred bucks (aussie) which I thought was pretty reasonable!! Keep you posted when it has been returned - cheers

Last week I had a little incident with someone who couldn't let
well enough be and shut their mouth... I had a feeling things weren't going to go well with this so I opened the clasp on my DSSD and slid it down my hand and then closed it around my fingers (kinda like brass knuckes)... Anyway, I started walking out trying to just leave BUT next thing I knew I was being shoved from behind into the wall after bumping into the wall I turned around throwing a hook with my DSSD right into the side of his jaw. Well he was taking a nice nap real quick and I just walked right out, slid my DSSD back on my wrist and headed home. When I got home I inspected the watch and everything was PERFECT except for a bit of someones skin on and between the bezel, nothing a toothbrush and some soap couldn't handle. Point of the story is that it is still keeping perfect time.
