After advice, found a Rolex 6150 watch within my Dad's belongings but unfortunately not working and looks like it's missing the Mercedes second hand. Looking to have it serviced/repaired were is the best place to look after it?

I'm sorry if this post means your father is no longer with us. Was he in the Royal Navy and do you know much of his history ?

This sounds like a most interesting watch. Do not rush to have anything done to it !

May we see any pictures of it, please, in particular the dial and case-back ?

Does it have a six-digit case number around 93xxxx ?

Welcome and that’s a very rare bird, if I recall only made for circa a year in 1953. Your in north east UK I see. I use Steve Hale (SHWR) in London or Herts…his team is very good and you can post to him if needed.

Interesting that they describe a 1976 issue number on the case-back (although they don't appear to show it).

Sorry for the delay,
My dad was ex-RAF, he fought and was trapped in Burma during the war. Unsure how he came by the watch.

Etched on the back is H.S.10 CD 931134.

After further investigation, The Swiss T within a circle above Precision denotes Tritium. Before the watches were sent for Military use the watches were sent to a Co. called Burford, Herstmonceux, Hailsham, East Sussex, which replaced the black dial with Radium with a Tritium black dial (Burford Dial, less Radioactive). This is why there is no ‘Swiss’ below the 6. Aparently this makes them a very rare watch with the black dial with the T above Precision. From what i have learn't only approximately 400 watches were sent to Burford.
