My heart goes out to all the flippers that ruined the market for people that want to actually own these watches. LOL

I agree with this. I've always wanted to own a 16710 Pepsi but the prices are absolutely ridiculous now. Wish I would've bought one 5 years ago, when they were affordable!

You blame this on the flippers but who sold it to the flippers in the first place?

It was normal people that were more concerned with profit than watches.

Remember, those same flippers are the ones that will get you solid gold pieces and women’s watches at a reasonable discount. Your AD sure isn’t

It just went up January 2020. It’s going up again next January amid the chaos in the market? Insane. Thanks for heads up

There are 398 for sale with all but the ones you show at 16K+ to 19K. So no drop in price as far as I’m concerned.

If there are 1000 for sale, the value is the highest that SELLS.

The $15.9k arent selling. So the 18k sure as hell wont either.

I can list my home for $1M but no one would claim my home is worth $1M unless it SELLS for that.

Yeah I haven’t seen much of a price drop in these. People are holding out as a long as they can hoping for an economy rebound. Good Luck.

Those are price listed ... not actual sold prices. Of course, EVERY one of those will be negotiated down. Then, Chrono24 charges 6% transaction fee I believe.

If a $16,000 Pepsi is negotiated down to $15,000 the seller will get $14,100.

So market value of watch is actually around $14,000.

And I highly doubt anyone is getting top dollar for these at current time. A nice profit, but not top dollar like a few months ago.

A better reflection of “market price” is what greys are paying for these from original owners.

If you go on bobswatches, a large dealer, you can see what they are paying for some of these hot models if you go to sell a rolex on their website. They are also holding on buying some models which tells you something. I've seen what they pay today drop down from a month ago...

The hoarders will not be able to just sit on large quantities of in demand watches for weeks and weeks and perhaps months with nobody buying at ridiculous prices. They will have to adjust their pricing to market demand. Be patient, prices will be coming down.

I’ve been waiting for this moment for awhile, patiently waiting. Hate that people are losing their jobs and this virus is devastating the community. These 2 things can be viewed as mutually exclusive, just bc I’m salivating at the mouth for the inevitable market crash and am happy about it doesn’t mean I’m also happy about the current reality of what’s going on in the real world.

So patience is definitely not an issue here, I’m waiting and sipping my tea for the BLRO to hit less than msrp

I passed on a James Cameron my AD was trying to liquidate last week. I literally inquired about the watch, went in, tried a sold one on, left, and got the call I could have one in a few days. I passed. Even though that’s not as hot as the BLRO was, to me it’s an indication that things are drastically improving for people who enjoy this is a hobby. I’m sorry if perhaps I hurt your feelings because you may have paid 17k for a 9.7k watch and you don’t want to see the rest of us who patiently waited get one at msrp.

And I lovvvvveeee Diet Snapple ice tea, chilled, not frozen. I have enough to get me to see a BLRO sell off from people liquidating at a price that’ll sell rather than what they think it’s worth

I'm no expert in chrono24 but out of the ones listed by the two verified dealers, both have less than 20 reviews and the others are private sellers....this is just me but if I'm spending that much money on something I'm not purchasing it from someone with little to no history.

Agreed - and I would never buy such an expensive item from a private seller due to the difference in buyer-protection vs grays.

Chrono24 offers protection.

I know, but when buying from a dealer, you have a 14 days return period - that is not Chrono-policy that is EU law. You do not have that when buying from a private.

So if you receive the watch and you change your mind, you can return the watch hassle free when buying from a dealer. This is a huge deal, when dealing used watched because what might be considered as a "small dent" to some, might be huge to others.

If you buy from a private, you need to convince Chrono and the seller that the item was not as described etc.

They more than likely don't even have the watch....

They might have at one point...but just leave the listing up then there is a mad scramble to fill the "order" from other dealers when a consumer wants to buy one.

I bought from a private seller on C/24 no problem and much cheaper than a dealer in this case on a 14060m. I called him personally, he was more nervous than I was being a first time seller, not a flipper. True, buy the seller always. C/24 also holds all payments until the buyer receives and approves purchase..
