Finally got one

I'm sure I paid too much but wasn't waiting 2 years if that's even a reliable thing from my AD or just what they tell everyone, and I know it's the former as I brought my 126613 to my AD is Austin to adjust it and said "please take me off Sub waiting list but keep my wife on Date just list" they didn't take my name or do anything that made me think we were on any real list.

I’m confused by so many things in this thread. First off, don’t you mean latter, not former?

Pics of the watch please. But congratulations on your first piece!

Good point, former = paid to much, latter = AD full of it, so yeah I'll go with latter, I lurked here just reading and didn't know about post minimum for pics, but I'm over that hump now. I was trying to wait out a new one after seeing my bro's 126613 in Hawaii last year, both Purdue grads and love the colors, he tried with his AD as Austin AD blew me off, so I did some research and ending up finding a piece I liked on Bob's Watche's, 2022 41m

Proper accountability and a valid excuse.

You sir, are going places.

Congrats on a great watch!! If you did slightly overpay, WGAS?! It probably wasn't more than a few nice weekend dinners and movies. Enjoy the Sub!

Congrats! Wear in good health!

Waiting is not worth it. You did the right thing, IMO.

Gorgeous watch. I too am thinking about going CPO to avoid the ridiculous waiting period.

Congratulations! I couldn't take the AD BS and immediately turned to grey. Enjoy looking at your watch and occasionally telling the time ;-)

If you didn’t have a good trustworthy AD to work with to get your gold/stainless Submariner (which honestly shouldn’t be too hard a reference to source) you did the right thing by not waiting around forever and going to an aftermarket seller.

Enjoy it and don’t look back. Life is short.

I'm sure your AD will take good care of you, you just need more patience. glad that your wife is still on the wish list, hope she gets what she wants sooner rather than later.

I don’t know…. Still sounds a little suspect…

Lets see a photo of the watch in front of a Chuy’s Margarita for verification.

But seriously, huge congrats on a great score. Enjoy it!

@phillyEagles,

If you grew up in Queens, shouldn’t you be a Giants fan? Go, Birds!

OP, congrats on your new TT Sub! It’s stunning.

Thanks Kat. I was a huge Giants fan until 1999 when the Eagles drafted Donovan McNabb who is a close friend of the family.
