This is my 1000th post a tribute to my Rolex watches

I got my first Rolex, a ladies SS DJ in 1980 when I was about 21.
I no longer have that and at the time and for many years after I never really considered larger watches. In the late 80's I got a TT ladies DJ and lost it on Maui on a windsurfing vacation.

A few years ago it finally dawned on me that I really didn't have to keep wearing these tiny ladies watches and got an Explorer, Sub Date and Oyster Date. I have since changed my watches a bit but here they are.

The current collection:
Oyster Date 15200 : DJ Mid TT RG 178241: DJ SS 116234
Sub ND 14060M : PLATTY YM 16622 : Milgauss 116400 White

I wanted to make my 1000th post special since I got my Platty back from RSC NY the beginning of last week but didn't get a chance to work on the photos until late last night/this morning. I made the new avatar by making my own animated gif of the 6 watch photos. I want to work on that more to get it smoother and more consistently sized, but it was kind of like a puzzle putting it together and getting it the right size (under 48K I think).

I had been reading posts all week last week but didn't want to post my 1000th without this post, so I missed participating in all the hubub, but I was here reading. Thanks everyone at TRF for making such a nice home on the internet!
